In action films, more often than not, simplicity is best. You have a simple premise and a clear conflict. Dude gets beaten up by a gang, everytime he's knocked out time rewinds back and gets beaten up again. He decides to get better at fighting again and again to fend off the gang.

Oh, but that is exactly the charm of short films! With a low budget and DIY methods, filmmakers have to push their creativity to its limits. Fuck Hollywood!

Since 1999, when I accidentally came across Jackie Chan's 'Mr Nice Guy' on cable TV, I go online everyday and spend at least an hour watching any fight scene I could find. I literally became (overnight) a martial arts fanatic. Watching fan-made, reshoots, amateurish, & of course, clips from my favourite flicks, is a daily thing in my book. This is the best channel/work I've seen in ages; choreography, production, concept, & even humour wise. Great job Mr. Jacobus, your bruises are highly appreciated. A big shoutout from Egypt!

Just watched Dope 2 and 1, and I love how much this feels like a cross between an old LucasArts adventure game, and Streets of Rage. Your ability to draw on martial comedy classics is already impressive, but capturing the carefree absurdity of the arcade really brings this the extra mile.

Yes! It's finally on the internet! Definitely THE BEST fight scene on RU-vid next to pwnisher's Sleeping Dogs fight scene! It's very hard to decide!:) You guys make every fight scene different in it's own way. Great short film and a very good inspiration for any fight choreographer. Eric and everybody else in this short, all I can say is WHY AREN'T YOU MAKING FIGHT SCENES IN HOLLYWOOD!?:) Awesome stuff!

So THIS... is the video I've been recommended to watch, huh... First off, I wanna praise the cameraman's job, especially that moment at 9:03. And then, the rest of this amazing thing - I see now that answering to 1 year old comments about a street fighter Real Life version of moves leads to greatness, lol. Anyway! Thanks a ton, you and your team, for making this. I have greatly enjoyed both the concept - which I'm glad to be familiar with - and the Jackie Chan-styled action and facial reaction/body language is just... spot on. So yeah! Thanks.

Cool idea, however, it turns out that every day this guy is going out looking for that fight. And in the last one he's actually the attacker. This goes against most if not all martial arts, which focus on self defense. One of the most important things taught is that the best defense is to stay away and out of a fight in the first place.

The art off taking turns to beat up the protagonist instead of all attacking him at the same time. A very noble art indeed.
