FIGHTER BOYS EXPERIENCE THEIR FIRST RITUAL IN THE PHILIPPINES! (Eating Bugs)

For the Fighter Boys, this was a first time Philippines experience...
We headed off nearby the mountains of Bukidnon to an area where the Talaandig Tribe live. Over the years I have become very close with this tribe in Mindanao. In this video you will see all of the Fighter Boys visiting the Talaandig Tribe in Bukidnon and sharing experiences with them.
Being new to the area and the tribe, the guys had to take part in a welcoming ritual that was done by Datu Vic. In this video you will see us adventure up to the Talaandig Republic, and see clips of our ritual experience, as well we started...
EATING BUGS!!
Yes, there was a massive rainstorm and all these unique flying bugs came out. Turns out you can actually eat them?!
What a beautiful experience, with the beautiful Talaandig Tribe! Although randomly eating bugs was unique! (That is not part of the ritual).

The bugs were not part of the ritual... that was spontaneous and really a unique experience! Have you ever tried those?! Datu said it was a good sign for planting bananas! Very cool!

I did actualy tried eating those bugs when I was a young boy. I saw an old man sitting near a light bulb while drinking shoktong. And the bugs are the pulutan. So I tried eating atleast 3 bugs.

I tried those insects..we call them "anay"..they are tastier if its roasted as what the lady said..

The soil artwork you showed was beautiful! It looks like such an amazing place to stay. Your drone shots are absolutely stunning. What you said about getting to know other people and their customs and culture is so true, man. That's what I love most about what you and the rest of the Fighter Boys do. The more you learn about other people, the more aware you become of your similarities rather than your differences. The ritual involving the spirits sounds really beautiful. Amazing video kulas! I hope the DOT gives attention to #fighterboys Mindanao Adventures. This is something, you guys are helping the department to promote Mindanao for FREE! Last time I was in the Philippines, it rained real hard. I literally ran up and down the streets around the neighborhood - splashing around like a little kid. The locals were laughing at me but it was so joyful for some reason. I miss home.

we eat that also in Pangasinan, we called it Ansisimot. As a young boy back then, we used basin or palanggana with water to catch it and then roast it.

We call that flying bug "ibus". It usually appears during rainy season. And to get rid of them you simply place a "palanggana" on the floor adjacent to where the light is....
