Most people who don't like this album are obsessed with 808's, there's more to music than the heavy bass of an 80's drum machine. She could have milked her older style for money but chose to evolve. Although if she had cut a couple of songs in the second part of the album and replaced them with the 2 bonus tracks, it would have made a stronger project, IMO.
You should listen to the companion EP of the album that she released on Friday. There are 5 songs on the album sung in Maori which is the official language of the indigenous people in New Zealand. She got help from them translating it and got the Maori people to sing on it too. You will love it.❤️
