I will admit. These were some of the hardest hunters I have seen in the series. They seemed far more mobile and reactive to your movements than in previous titles. That said, it was fun as hell.
Yeah Banished Hunters are very good at protecting their backs. The Energy Sword, once capable of chain-stunning Hunters, is no longer effective against them.
in lore, these guys were FAST and TOUGH, like TANKS, or MECHS but with WORMS. they dropped buildings and peppered them with armor piercing bullets from ARs, pistols, sniper fire, and some spunkers... nothing. that was first contact lol they're more terrifying than jiralhanai when you think about it. kinda sad we didn't get 1 friendly hunter that eventually becomes 2 (their form of reproduction, they go by pairs), or 2 hunters where 1 dies, and that 1 becomes a pair.... or an ironic one, a friendly jackal sniper
I find the best way to kill hunters is to be hyper aggressive and throw everything and the kitchen sink at them, both figuratively and literally. This even works against the red hunters on legendary, don’t stop putting in damage, no matter what weapon you’re using.
Best way to fight these hunters is to not fight them at all. I remember I just hurled all the explosive cores I could find from outside the spire boundary and then finished them off with a sniper rifle
I liked how these ones actually went berserk when u killed their duo. Definetly the hardest in the series. Infinite treats them like small bosses compared to other games.
Whenever any hunter since CE raised their left hand (not the gun arm) I would always juke towards the direction of the gun arm, this would leave the hunter with his back facing towards me. Then it was usually a matter of weaponry but anything should work as long as you can consistently juke their attacks.
@@eliavita yes. Literally walking to the opposite side of the arm a hunter raises to slam u. If u aim at the hunter as he passes u. You can juke him like a running back at the Superbowl
Just a tip, avoid grappling the ground when there are tall objects you can use to get into cover faster. All my marines died instantly in this fight before they could really do anything to the Hunters. On the bright side, they did leave a good amount of ammo for some strong weapons for me to use throughout the fight. Goodluck with the rest of your campaign endeavors 🤘💯
I remember sneaking my way to the top of the map before getting a wasp and noticing 2 red hunters in the distance. Spent most of my time shooting them from a distance and they were literal tanks. Went over there to kill that high valued target
A friend and I tried to run legendary, neither of us are THAT good, but we figured if we found a fight we couldn't handle one of us would run away till the other respawned. It worked for a while, then we encountered two hunters in a secluded area near a boss fight, we tried to climb the nearby mountain only to learn they could still hit us from that distance. We spent three hours fighting those hunters because we wouldn't admit defeat.
Once you get the maximum level on the grappleshot, not really. I once ran out of ammo and was locked in a room with two on Heroic difficulty (bad ammo management on my part). Just grapple-punched the crap out of them. It took forever, but it worked. Sure, the "make them swing then hit the back" cheese that has been around since CE doesn't work anymore, but now you can just brute force them, especially thanks to equipment.
I never got to fight these hunters During this missuon I brought a bunch of marines I'd armed with sentinel beams with me. They vaporized the hunters before I ever got to see them
after awhile they were less intense and more just annoying, after while the easiest way i saw to deal with them was juts use a sentinel beam on their knees where the gaps in the armour are.
QuikTrip if you have a sniper rifle you're on your first Hunter encounter use it if you aim at their knees legs arms basically any part that is exposed it should take a small portion of their health away with each shot then you should have enough to at least take care of the other Hunter well at least half of his HP away
I always was more scared of the hunters music rather than them. I haven't played Halo past Reach, but i always found hunters super easy just eait for them to.do their trademark swing and pop them once with a pistol/dmr This seems scary
I remember having to fight two hunters at some point. I had no idea there were hunters there and I died patheticaly. Then I went back... with a Scorpion Tank! It was a short battle 😂
i dont like how 343 does hunters, you used to have to strafe their attacks, and hit them from behind to kill them, now they are always facing you, so you just kinda have to mag dump then untill the fall over.
They're not that intense. Only if you want them to be. Usually I just grab a bunch of explosives and just hide behind walls the entire time. Takes me about 45s-1m30s to take one out on legendary. As much as I loved the new mechanics and the multiplayer can be good from time to time, Infinite was just never really a true challenge like Halo 1-Reach.
That moment when you upload a bunch of crappy gameplay clips to try to convince a friend to buy Halo Infinite and it gets 48k views... Why does RU-vid do what it does?
