There are thousands of blacks in prison with Life Sentences and some with the Death Sentence for murder and they had less evidence against them as opposed to more evidence that they had on OJ. OJ was wealthy, famous and had the best lawyers in the country and he got away with murder, but in the Civil Case the same lawyers didn't represent him and he lost that case (remember?)!

Van Prince yes I understand American Blacks are in prisons over nothing like have a joint believe me I hate what they did in the 90s with Clinton’s law all of them should be released and I think it will happen I believe in my heart OJ Simpson was framed and I’m happy he got out but I’m really angry at how everyone won’t even let the guy make some money others in jail who murderef children like Gacy sold art did what he wanted why can’t OJ Simpson have those same rights why it’s should be same justice for everyone God bless OJ everyone turned backs on him the greatest football player in America and no one stands up like they should and give him a break it’s disgusting to me

@@moonstar9861 There are some who indeed need to be in prison and there are always cells for dangerous prisoners, but many are receive too much punishment. And as a paralegal who do post-conviction work for prisoners I've discovered that only 10% are actually innocent, 75% received more time to serve compared to the crime they committed, and 15% were sentenced in accord with the crime (s) they committed.Their isn't an equal balance in the criminal judicial system in reference to those charged with crimes. Moon Star thank you for having the mentality to understand what is going on in America's criminal judicial system!

It's sad that the innocence project limits it's wrongful conviction to those that have lost their freedom, I lost my freedom for 120 days in prison after being wrongfully convicted while the initial aggressor in my case was made out to be a victim for the sole purpose as to disarm me of my 2nd amendment right, the ability to protect myself and my property I used to make a living. Tampering with a motor vehicle is a crime until the prosecutor turns Vindictive and prosecutes a innocent man trying to protect his automobile and himself. Our justice system is totally jacked up when a vindictive prosecutor, corrupt judge and a dirty cop can totally destroy a mans life and no one cares. IP totally discriminates against those individuals that manage not to be sentenced to years behind bars, a wrongful conviction is a wrongful conviction PERIOD!

As long as we don’t investigate each and every wrongful conviction at least the same way plane crashes are investigated we have failed as human beings. It’s shocking how many ppl are in jail for a crime they didn’t commit.

All throughout my CJ 4 year major I focused on wrongful convictions. My dream is to become an attorney to fight against miscarriages of justice. However, my dreams are shattered cause I can't get a decent score on the LSAT. I spent thousands of dollars on prep courses. A 4 hour test outweighs your 4 year degree! What a damn shame.

No ONE will help with a wrongful conviction of my nephew. He has DNA, Physical Evidence and a Ploy test that proves his innocence yet the innocence projects we've contracted said he does not fit their criteria? Please help me understand how the COURTS can use DNA everyday to prove innocence yet no help here for my nephew?

DNA evidence is yet to catch on here in Africa. The number of underprivileged persons that continue to suffer from wrongful convictions continues to grow, especially in a corrupt society. Today, more than ever before, we need the assistance of scientific minds in the exoneration of our innocent brethren who continue to anguish in African prisons.

Michelle Baker- There is ALWAYS DNA in one form or another......No human being can commit a crime that involves physical contact with another person and NOT leave some form of DNA behind. It's just all about how far technology has gotten at the time to reveal that. Which In my opinion is a good thing because it helps to prove innocence when people have been convicted by circumstantial evidence. In particular the use of eye witness testimony has been shown to sway a jury towards a verdict of guilt even though eye witness testimony has also been proven to be unreliable , inconsistent and ever changing. However , juries comprehend this as a sort of "seeing is believing " kind of truth. What are your thoughts on this and can we get an update on your God brother please?

Many have all kinds of opinions abut the law, and some think that common sense is the law, but to be on time with opinions you must back it up with the Constitution, Rules, Case Law, Statutes, and it is okay to voice your opinion, but know that an Opinion is only a personal belief and a Fact is something that happened or exist. Some are innocent and found innocent, some are guilty and found not guilty, and some of innocent and found guilty, some are innocent and coerced to plea guilty, and distilled to it essence 90% of those in prison try to win there freedom through the court system whether they are guilty of innocence and they file a Petition for a Writ of Habeas Corpus and that petition has nothing to do with guilt or innocence but have your Constitution Rights were violated and if they were violated your incarceration is illegal!

I need help in a case I’m being charged with I’ve changed my defense lawyer I’ve volunteered and payed to take a lie detector exam just to show im being honest. I know that can’t be used in court but I just wanted to show prosecutor I’m being honest. Which I passed..The other parties involved in this case had told their lawyers that I was used and I wasn’t aware of the events that I’m being charged with. I made a bad judgement call for going on a trip with strangers that a “friend “ introduced me to . I’m guilty of being naive. But I’ve been and my family have been through hell. The only thing good that came from this is Iost the part time job I had because I was in jail. But when I got home I finally started doing something I enjoy. The charges are very serious and I can’t breathe. The only thing I breathe for is my job my family and my cat. My life is frozen and under a dark cloud. I’m no longer the happy vibrant person I once was.. being in jail when you are innocent is so destroying to you mentally. They broke my spirit in my life in so many ways: I need help I don’t know what to do...

The main thing that may be able to free you is the initial police report that usually contain all truth, but the police and prosecutor hope the ones they charge don't request it. But you must be confident and think, but from your story here they don't even have enough to go to trial and they will offer a plea bargain and then you know they are on a witch hunt!

I have the discovery.. my pretrial was for June 16th My father Flew in from New York and I flew in from Florida where I live and my lawyer tells me as soon as I land in Okc that they messed up the dates and it wasn’t updated correctly because of the covid. I had severe anxiety the week up until I got to OKC because I’ve been waiting for this day for almost 2 years. There is no evidence. And now I have to pay again for another flight take off work spend more money on Hotel then have severe anxiety because people tell me even if your innocent you’ll never get cleared Scott Free because I heard from my lawyer the value in the millions of what was in the car I had no fricken idea I was in the car with shit inside the wheel or wherever they found it. They lied to me and said it was going to the car dealership the guy owned I’m guilty for being stupid and going in a car with people I didn’t really know but . My life can’t go forward. I’m in the middle of the ocean ... and I can’t see land and I hate not knowing if I’ll ever see the shore. God please Help me sorry for venting again this is my life and I’ve never been in trouble before and they told my lawyer 9 years or something I said I’m not doing 9 seconds I’m innocent . I’ll die before I ever step foot in a jail cell again. I’d rather die

If I had any information I’d happily give it I have no loyalty to anyone . All I can give are the facts of what happened prior to arrest. Detail by detail but they never really asked me all the details

If one is tricked into committing a crime or committed a crime without knowing it, that person had no intent to commit a crime, and to prove intent beyond a reasonable doubt the burden is on the prosecutor. The prosecutor don't care that you passed a lie detector test because its inadmissible in court. Law enforcement officials are taught in college that never believe a suspect unless they admit to the crime. A fair prosecutor will use the results of a lie detector that says you are innocent but to find a fair prosecutor is akin to finding a needle in a haystack and a diamond in the rough. So being innocent and with an effective attorney you have a chance to win the case!
