In LAUSD, and other California school districts, students aren't allowed to learn about the reproductive process (puberty) until 5th (or 6th grade) and requires parent's signature. Columbus day was introduced as a day to honor the person who discovered America. Not until high school is it taught about the atrocities committed by him against the natives. So, why can't the LGBT curriculum be taught in middle school instead?

You wouldn't teach 8 year olds of the reproduction process either. And as adults, abortion (Roe v Wade) doesn't get rid of abortion entirely, just at what trimester (or week of pregnancy) abortion should be outlawed (unless doctor approval of life and death situation). In these examples, no one is preventing the entire thing at all. Just setting parameters.

For me introduction to puberty starts at 5th grade around the end of the school year and around 7th a d 8th grade "middle school" now which is young teens 15 and down they teach you about sex, rape, alcohol, drugs etc. Cause there that appropriate age now. Some of these liberal or pro lgbtq teachers are teaching gender identity, pronouns, lgbtq relationships and that your non-binary to kids as young as 1rst grade. They also tell the kids about puberty blockers and support them doing it without parent consent saying "oh its fine, let them be who they wanna be" but don't tell you that it's chemical castration and that it's also a irreversible effect. So once the damage is done their no going back. Learning about LGBT people in schools is very much relevant to the subjects taught in schools. Additionally, school isn't just about studying academics; it's also about forming a sense of identity and social skills that are carried through life. Learning about Pride isn't distracting at all, especially not to students who are LGBT. What is distracting to learning though is LGBT students not having a conducive learning environment due to being bullied. This can be avoided by teaching that LGBT people exist and to be tolerant of people different than you.
