That drag and drop action on tabs is some mortal kombat 2 secret codes stuff. I'd never have figured this out without this video, which isn't great

Looks good. However, I'm still eager to see the scaling of stroke sizes for components nested within other components. Do it, Figma!

This looks great for mixing Figjam and Figma files. Often we have research in Figjam to reference for the work being done in Figma. For splitting two Figma files though, it's way too cramped. If you could resize that UI more to make room it would be nice. Maybe an easier way to work on master components in one file and see the outcome in another.

Love it! But seperate tabs should be the default option in the combined tabs in stead of the "X" It's much easier to go: Click separate tabs > Close each tab Right clicking and selecting the option is so cumbersome, also exposing the "X" means it's much more prone to accidentally closing the tab

Great idea! InDesign also has that! But can we please just be able to collapse either the left, or the right UI panel, as we desire? We can only either collapse them both, or just collapse the left one. Maybe I want to collapse just the right one. Or even better, have them like a bar of icons, and have the entire panel visible on hover on that bar.

Personally, I'd want one set of UI across two tabs. So I focus on one file, and the UI changes to match that file, and vice versa. Otherwise I lose so much screen space.

I could be ignorant here, and that’s fine, but couldn’t you do this by using the native split screen options on Mac? Open two windows of Figma and make them full screen left or right, and even resize if necessary? I’ve done this sort of split screen in meetings before this was a thing.

This would be more useful if there where a shortcut for publishing/updating libraries, this way you could have a view on one side with the UI hidden and change components on the other side, publish/update on either side and view changes in "real time".

My default is still opening up the file in two separate windows so I can spread it across two desktops so I can reference components on one page while building on another

Personally i think is a cheap escape of how your UI works. How about making your left and right panels work like Photoshop,auto hide Ui?

You can resize by dragging the edge of a split window. So yes :)

Useless. I can do it all time by using 2 different windows at a time, preferably in 2 displays. I don't see any benefit or difference from that "new feature".
