I spent 1 year on a UI/UX course in Dublin and wasted 3800 euros on it. I learnt 10x more from Joe than what that course gave me! Finally I am able to put together my own UX portfolio. Thank you!
@TALKING HILLS I started earlier on and was about 2 hours in Like a month ago. I work so haven't been able to come back to it until today. I'm one hour in and seeing things I didn't the first time. Joe is really good
As a newbie to this course, I mean a complete beginner,I got intimidated at first because of the length but as soon as I stated, just 2 minutes into the course, I was blown away, interested, happy, grateful and I totally enjoyed it, as a Nigerian Lady I can only say I am so proud to have an elder brother who is an amazing teacher and I will also strive to make you proud Sir (Mr Joseph Brendan) I love every bit of it, God bless and reward you for your time, simplicity and the effort you put into this course.
Hi I'm also new here. But since your post was about 3 months ago, means you must have gone way ahead of me. So if it's appropriate for you, we could share insights together . Thanks

I have done watching and practicing all 10 hours of the video. It took me 4 days to complete it. Now I want to give my testimony: Positive: 1. This tutorial is very beginner friendly. In fact, someone who never designs at all before can follow this video. There are some basic design lessons in the video. 2. You don't need the pro/paid version of Figma to follow all the steps. 3. The tutorial has a specific sessions with timestamp, so you can choose the section that you want to learn without worrying about the exact time each sessions. Negative: 1. This video was a year ago, so some of the tools/settings/options may have different forms or placements. 2. There isn't an English subtitle on the video. Without decreasing my respect for Mr. Joseph, if you aren't familiar with his English accent, you may have to repeat some parts of it to understand what He says. However, this only happens in the first 30 minutes or an hour. You will get used to it. Overall, thank you freeCodeCamp and Mr. Joseph Brendan to provide us with this awesome Figma course. Once again, Thank you very much.
I found it one of the best courses for the absolute beginners in web design field. Everything is explained in a very uniques way. From selecting a thing, how to select that thing, purpose of selecting or using that thing, etc. everything has been covered in a unique way in this tutorial. Really loved it and learned a lot from it. Thanks!
The most detailed, simplified and intriguing course I offered on product design so far. Thank You Mr. Brendan. May your source of knowledge never run dry.

I really love these long format, detailed tutorials. This one is really great. Unlike some other tutorials, that are short and only touches the surface.
The first 10 hour video i finish watching on RU-vid, the content is detailed and clearly explained. Great job Brendan. You gave me the power to keep learning Front End Development.
my friend probabaly u are the only one who didnt ask to like and subscribe on internet after sharing so much knowledge for free.. thanks from bottom of my heart.. love from South India ...
Honestly speaking, your voice by his own have already impacted my understanding. You're super talented in teaching! Before I watched some videos over the same topics , Didn't get it clear but now a windy came and blow my mind and brought into it a freedom breakthrough....Keep it up .
I'm just starting this free course alongside the front-end development course also on freecodecamp. I'm amazed by the quality of this free education, it looks better than my university degree where a lot of irrelevant and uninteresting subjects were taught. This is exactly what I need to become a front-end developer... So thanks for the work put into creating this course!
Thank you so much for this video. I am a newbie in this course. Your explanations are very easy to understand. I am loving this new path I took this year. I believe with this video, I'll make you proud. I'll keep coming back for this video until the end of my course on figma. Thank you so much and may God Almighty bless you. This is from your Nigerian sister who have so much interest in becoming a UI/UX designer. I hope to make it with this course.
Just finished the entire video. I can say that I'm now confident to design anything I wish to do. Thank you so much for this content. I'm very grateful for this.
@@dhivyas30 In the latest Material Design 3 guide, they have removed the tables. So I took the screenshot of the table from this video because I couldn't find it anywhere else.
FCC i’m surprised you guys don’t have a course about this on your website! Feels like the final piece of the puzzle to an amazing curricula. Consider adding it in. As an aspiring front end dev i’m kinda wishing i had learned ux/ui *before* “raw” code like html/css. I like to begin with the end in mind. Amazing video and site nonetheless. Appreciate everything you guys do 🙏🏼
I've just completed the whole course. This is one of the most beginner-friendly tutorials on Figma. Now, I feel confident that I can use Figma for my design projects. Thanks a lot, man! 🙂
I just came to the end of this tutorial, it is a great start. Thank you Joseph for this masterpiece. Even though the layout of Figma has changed and sometimes it's a bit hard to follow, but I can say this was more than just a tutorial, you laid the foundation for my UI/UX journey. Stay blessed.

This is the BEST Figma course ever! And you are a great teacher. Thank you soooo much for your efforts. People do not explain many details that are necessary especially for beginners or mid-levels, but you do this. When I complete the entire video, I think I won't have any questions, but if I have, I will ask you. =) Regards.

This is the only free course that I have completed on RU-vid so far. I have completed this course within 10 days. It took a little more time than I usually take. I gave my full attention to understanding what Joseph taught. I learned a lot. He explained many things about Material Design. That's an amazing course. Just start, and you will learn a lot from this course.💯👌
This is the best UI/UX design course i came across on RU-vid, ton of value and really beginner friendly. Just finished it and all i can say is thank my AFRICAN BROTHER JOSEPH. Love from Ivory Coast.

This is incredibly helpful and makes designing a website from scratch very straightforward -- may not be easy, but this shows very clearly how to start and what the steps are to making a good design. Thanks!
After learning on and off for weeks I was able to finish. Thank you so much for providing this in-depth learning video! I feel more confident to try simple projects in Figma.
please one question, i would like to be a web designer, where should i start, do i need to learn some principles if so where can i find it. and do i need to learn graphic design principle too
@@elidrissistudio I hope you don't mind I checked you portfolio, that's a good start. You are right graphic design principles is a must, it will teach you good color combinations and other stuff that makes design work. There are tons of videos here in RU-vid to help you out, but imo I got more value in some courses from Lynda. If you want to take things further pick up ux/ui practices too. And if you wanna code html, css and JavaScript are the way to go. I hope this helps you get started.
We can also use the Alt key to see the margin or space between two elements by selecting one element and then pressing alt or option key and hovering over the object we want to see the space or margin with respect to.
This is the most detailed free video course I have ever seen, I was just searching youtube for the last time for a well detailed UI/UX design course after leaving my previous one cos I couldn't understand it
Hi, @prised. When creating a design system for text styles and components in the video.. wasn't what you saw in the material design 3 website now different from the pages the tutor showed when following the guide to create a text and component style ?
I'm about 3 hours in and i can boldly say i've learned a lot, and i really can't wait to finish up so i can see how much progress I've made. Thank you Mr Joe, this is a masterpiece.
The BG yellow ellipse and image are not scaling corresponding to the frame size when I followed the same exact steps as in video from [7:43:06] to [7:46:49]. Instead what worked is : I made a frame for Image with image resizing set to 'fill container' and made an other frame for ellipse with its resizing set to 'fill container'. I positioned both frames and made a component. It then scales up as desired. This video is one stop tutorial for Figma! Thank you.
Thanks Joseph.. really appreciate this🙏..been looking for a way to learn how to use FIGMA in a structured, simple and effective way..and your training is 💯💯
all teachers should teach this way, the correct way, so you don't have to unlearn bad habits. I would like to see more tutorials from Joeseph. I agree that material design io is not straightforward to navigate through.
In this video everything is explained so clearly every tools and functions of figma. Thanks putting effort that was really helpful who is struggling to understand UI design for many years.
