Figuring Out The Location of Dragon Isles - World of Warcraft (CONFIRMED)

With the new announcement it's time for new speculations! Dragonflight is looking to be an interesting addition to the Warcraft series, but we still seem to be far off from its release date. One important thing that was omitted from the announcement was where the Dragon Isles are. We are gonna try to figure it out today!

I am very glad the dragon race is real, and that we can seemingly customise/choose our dragonflight. Although disappointed they can only be evokers, I have a feeling it will be a neat gimmick that become tired quickly. I guess it makes sense to save time animating special casting animations but that probably means they don't have animations for any other class, thus no chance of more class options for dragons in the future. Looking forward to more of your videos, I haven't had much time for WoW and my interest died a bit this past few years but I enjoy these brief reminders of the game.

@@adanzaro I will say we are going to see a shift in the eastern continents and Northrend since. It’s also going to be one of the largest continents we’ve ever been given, so probably similar to Pandaria in size

@@devincampbell5007 For sure, I feel like they might make them be even more apart. If you compare Wrath and Shadowlands World Maps, EK and Kalimdor have more distance between them and Northrend, so it's probably gonna happen a bit once again.

@@adanzaro I hope we will get Plunder Isles as the main continent in 11.0 so EK can be pushed off the map even more 😆. And just incase you don't know of Plunder Isles I suggest you look at the map of Azeroth in the start of the Vanilla cinematic. It's the 2 islands right next to Westfall and Stranglethorn. If added in same location as a continent they will be located in the southeastern part of Azeroth's map between EK, Pandaria, Zandalar, and KT

@@devincampbell5007 Yeah I'm familiar with it, hopefully it gets added soon. Lots of those old unseen islands came with Island Expeditions, like Crestfall. I'm very interested in seeing Plunder Isle and Tel'Abim. Find out where all those damn bananas come from dammit

Even when I looked at the Azeroth map pre-Sundering, I think the Dragon Isles will be above Kalimdor. There’s already too many other continents near the Eastern Kingdoms. Plus, from the cinematic, there was a clear shot of the Sundering. If it was near the Broken Shore, you’d be able to see it from that distance. That’s just my idea of it.

But remember the Centaur are on kalimdor my mistake on the tuskarrs

That's a good shout, they may very well be on either side :) We also have some Tuskarr in Dragonblight which is the center of the continent so they could have easily migrated to either side.

@@wraithklownjug That's true as well! Might be something to that. It's hard to say since we also don't know whether there were some Centaurs around the lands that got sunk during the Sundering.

i can't remember who, but there was a centaur leader that led an expedition off kalimdor and went missing. could be them.

I wonder if this is going to be another corny xpac or something worthwhile ESPECIALLY since WOTLK Classic I love how the map of azeroth looked originally with 2 large continents then a couple small unnamed/unknown mysteries islands floating out near the maelstrom. Now there's just continents popping up all over the place, it seems out of place

The game has to keep moving, having the same old same old would, well, get old pretty quickly.
