Hey guy, today in this review I will be taking a look at the KA17. And as to why it quickly became one of my favourite dongle DAC after the initial disappointment

Hey I think I saw the Letshouer D13!! I have that set! Anyway, thank you for the great review! I am kind of maxed out with dongle dacs at the moment, but the KA17 looks pretty cool.

Hehe, there is nothing like too many dongle dac's 😂 But jokes aside, yes the KA17 is that one dac you can buy and be done with. Because it has EQ and it performs really well.

Amazing review bro, very insightful. It seems like these are perfect for warmer leaning IEMs. Too bad it's not a very efficient device

did the latest firmware update add more user eq presets ? because 3 is ok if you only have one iem but if you have more than one this is not enough, or if you want to play with autoeq on squig to mimic a few famous super expensive iems through autoeq, is not enough. thanks

Hello, really appreicate you stopping by 🙂❤️ Also sorry for the late reply Thats great! hope you enjoy the ka17. As for headphones i am not apt in giving any suggestion on that as i dont use much headphones and havent tested a lot. But for iems i would suggest setting a budget and then searching for an iem whose sound you might think you will like or will go well with the songs you listen too. Also read and watch as much as reviews possible or best would be to demo them at a physical shop Also do update the firmware of ka17 to v2.0 as of me posting this comment its the latest version

do you still hear a difference between ka17 and the other dongles with 128k mp3 or these difference only show up on higher quality music files (dsd, lossless)

when eq is applied in KA17 is apple music working properly.. some of them are saying they r having issue in forum of FIIO

fyi your bass boost eq preset for low volume listening is coming from the fletcher muson loudness curves, so you must also bump up high freq for low level listening ( a sort of U shape eq instead of a bass boost)

In my opinion, for gaming any dac is ok. You dont need to buy a very good dac for it. Even the cheap $24-29 fiio ka11 dac is more than enough. Where you will find a difference is maybe in iems. Iems like simgot ea500lm and em6l are really good gaming iem for under $100

If for competitive FPS games, I would suggest Fiio Ka17. With better imaging and soundstage, you can map the footsteps and gunfires much better 👍

@@hokagoteatimereviews trying to figure out what to get. I want to pair it with my Samsung s8 tablet, was thinking aune yuki, Cayin ru7, fiio q15 or questyle m15i/m12i. I don’t necessarily need the Bluetooth, because I’ll just use the btr7 for that (watching videos on my tv basically).

@@user-fv7mx3rl6r Thanks, so you recommend ka17 ? It gives good enough sound to you ? Because 15s is serious and not cheap dap. Not expecting it's sound level but still need good sounding dongle. And so many options to choose as ru7, ibasso dc series and so on. Hard to choose.

@@AbalMarius Прежде всего я хочу сказать что я люблю звук fiio, он мне ближе и понятней чем другие, мне нравится ESS. Да ка17 обладает хорошим взрослым звуком, безусловно m15s дает более дорогой звук, но я не могу сказать что принципиально, а разница в цене колоссальная. Я могу сказать по мне он на голову или даже на две лучше ка5. И я могу вам посоветовать ка17 от себя, действительно очень хороший DAC.
