I disagree about the volume control. I carry it in a backpack on my back, I put it neatly, yes, I spend a few minutes on it , but more than once I have not had a spontaneous increase in volume . You just need to stack the device carefully, and everything will be fine with this volume knob.
Oh wow, seems they improved upon the S12 Pro criticism. Bass texture and spicy treble was one of the cons of S12, S08 seems to improved upon. Nice and concise review 🙌
Nice review, pretty straightforward and not so hard to understand for a non audiophile person like me. I am considering buying my first $50+ IEM. I love details, instrument separation and wide sound stage and also vocals, bass is my least favourite. Which one you recommend between Moondrop May DSP or 7hz Sonus + DAC? i can get both at the same price Thankss!

At that range its one of the best iems in terms of having clarity and sound stage while not having too much bass. It was released a long time ago (atleast in chifi release schedule terms) But its still one of the best and it will fit your needs very well. You wont be needing a dac for it. If you have a cheap one, something like the newly launched fiio jade audio JA11 for $9-10 is good enough. Its a new dongle dac from fiio, my review unit is yet to come. But the only review of them seems good. Also sorry, i havent heaed the sonus. But from reviews of the sonus and the sound signature you are chasing the ew200 seems like your choice. The better the iem the better the experience. Next would be having a nice source preferably original blu ray etc. and finally will be the dac. Not all iems need dacs, but many iems do benefit from extra power. Also the headphone jack of your PC or your laptop etc. can be not so good that time a dac helps. So my suggestion will be to get the best iem you can afford as of now. And try to buy something which has. better soundstage and imaging. Sorry for the long answer 😅 Hope i helped you. Hey, the trn conch is a solid iem. I too watch a lot of anime and a quite a bit of RU-vid. So i am in the same boat as you. my suggestion would be to sell the q1 pro and conch and save some money and buy an iem. Or save some money and buy a new iem (if you dont want to sell the q1 pro and conch). Something in the $100 range if possible 🙂 you dont need this dongle dac to elevate the experience, you are better off spending your money on a much better iem 🙂

Want to know how it compares to Kinera Sky Wing? Very little info about Sky Wing. But Im curious about its unidirectional mic vs Omnidirectional mic on Ruyi. Especially for working at crowded places like in a cafe.

But didn't opt for it, because my life has been too hectic and there were other stuff i was busy reviewing too. Guess i should have reviewed them 😅 but i would assume the mic would be on par for performance as they are the same mic. But you will be limited by the Bluetooth compression.

Theres another Sky (I forgot the name) from Kinera as well that uses bluetooth. I just wondering if the Unidirectional mic would be better for Working From Anywhere compared to Omnidirectional mic like Ruyi or Gramr. Because theres nothing that I could find about this type of mic on YT and reddit.

As for my unit, they are working a-ok. But i also generally take good care of them. And clean the buds and moisture once a month and store them in a pouch with some silica gel 🙂 Also the truthear gate is around the corner. My review on them comparing with the chu 2 should come soon 🙂

I have a Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless headphone. I use it when it's hot or for casual running, but unfortunately, the headphones eventually get moist from sweat. The problem is, the Adaptive Noise Cancellation (ANC) seems to stop working after the first bit of sweat. It's disappointing that headphones costing over $400 aren't even mildly water-resistant, especially since sweating is a normal part of exercise. Even DJs can get wet from jumping and dancing! Aside from the sweat issue, the overall quality feels lacking. The sound is the only truly good aspect of these headphones. The ability to pair with two Bluetooth devices seems like a useful feature, but in practice, it's unreliable. You get noises and glitches whenever the second device connects or receives sound, and the audio quality suffers badly when both devices are playing. The ANC itself also feels ineffective. In essence, you're paying a premium price for just the good sound quality. Everything else, from the software to the build quality, feels cheap. There are other headphone brands out there that offer excellent sound along with better features and durability. This particular model just isn't worth the money.

I personally prefer sports tws or normal tws here. 😅 i do understand that you would want a water resistant for the price, but i guess it becomes hard for the companies to include ip rating in their headphones. as for the sweat, yes if you sweat the seal weakens and the anc weakens too. Also i personally never had any issues at all with dual device pairing, is your firmware updated? did you contact sennheiser about it ? But if you want a sports headphones which works during your workout, nothing comes to my mind to be honest. I would highly suggest trying out tws for your work. Hope my suggestion helps you.

have had 2 pair that i had to return faulty , did like them , went from b&o 95 to sony xm5 to bose quite comfort to momentum 4 have now got b&w px7 s2 and really happy with them for wireless use . for more critical listening i have focal clears and hifiman arya organic which i use with RME -ADI2 DAC ............

What is the best iem in the $40 category for gaming, videos, and music? The most important thing for me is that the sound is clear and pure, and I don’t care much about the bass.

They regularly go on sale for around $45-53 at aliexpress. Also getting a new aliexpress account gets you more discount. They are quite ok for music too. There is another iem i am testing now, which is about $59. Its the kefine delci and my initial thoughts about them is quite good. They make a better overall buy for music and gaming. But then again this is an initial thoughts and also they touch the $60 mark. But dont worry R1 is still really good 🙂

I have had the supermix 4 for 3 days and haven’t touched the LM yet. Less exciting than the LM but I use it as a daily driver on desktop. It’s much more smoother and does what I want well
