I was a child when i witnessed this for the first time, and my parents witnessed this event unfold for the third time. I witness with curiousity people breaking into shops and schools closed for weeks, my parents witnessed with fear and terror. I haven't forgotten and i dont think i can forget. God bless our beloved nation for peace and unity.
Isaaa I was in form 3 when this happened ...still remembers this scenario walking down this streets from school as this event closed all school that...I had to rush to Annesley infants school to pick my brother up who was in class one then while I was form 3 in Dudley High...isaaaa the fear of walking my brother down to the Suva bus stand that day I could never forget! ...
In 2010 while working in Fiji with another New Zealander we observed the following : racism from some Fijian Indians towards indigenous Fijians , but by no means from all Fijian Indians. Also much kindness towards us as foreigners was displayed from Fijians of all backgrounds. May Fiji have peace and prosperity.
Was pulled out of primary school to go home back then like the rest of the students by car and buses. Didn't even know what was happening being a class/year 4 student too young to understand until I watched the news.
@@alumeciwalsham9191 yep in the 5th Largest economy in the world … on the other hand, I wonder where Fiji would have been without Indians …. Interesting thought …. Appreciate what you have …. Hello!!
True and yet the Bible never teaches or supports that kind of sick action. These people were full of hatred. I remember I was a kid that time we stayed home becoz we were scared. That is why I don't consider these people true followers of Christ becoz this is what they are when they are sick😂. Some of them can be a minister or whatever. When they get sick they are no different at all from uneducated people.
Watching this has brought me embarrassment and shame of what these coups has brought to our beloved nation, what the people who initiated the coup didnt think of was the effect of chaos that followed, the motive of the coup was clear and understandable but what they lacked was the control to maintain order as people thought it was somehow right to burn down shops and take whatever they want ,not knowing how it would affect us future generations that was still a baby at that time and those yet to come. This is not the way the world should be!
Tim Vaks .... To do what ?? Cassava plantation. ? He's doing plenty of that in prison. Supporting inmates food supply. He belongs there not here. Keep him there.
He was exiled and can’t come back unless the people wants him back, that’s not gonna happen. He in an small island serving his life sentence with his group
@@koena6720 He is in mainland prison in Naboro. He is no longer on that island. People can't ask for his release. He was picnicking on that Island under Qarase's rule. Now he is a regular prisoner. He was The Fall Guy in the Coupe.
You are out of your mind Alisi. Do you think Fijians are sticking with Bainimarama currently? No citizen should ever condone the overthrow of a government
Alisi Roqica Perhaps they should stick together and work on their land rather than be depended on other races in fiji who pay the most taxes to feed them.
@@robertmanoa9063 They can't work their land. They did not renew the leases and confiscated land from Indians. then it was left idle and bush took over land. The Bainimarama Govt. gave the land back to Indians on 99 yr leases and sugar cane is growing on these lands now.
@@prophet1782 who said that fijians live by farming know your facts sugarcane is not what we mostly plant we plant root crops and other things you kulina levu
Burning, Shooting, looting, raping of women and assault just to name a few that eventuated from the coup. You call all the above beautiful. I will rest my case here.
Well since i was born in fiji .. thats where i came from and proud of it too coz God put me there to be born. and as for how far i went..well fortunately i moved forward and thats beyond your ability to see.
