(voiced as a command/request). if its incorrect greek it could also mean "you failed" or "i failed". 失敗しました (shi-PAI shi-MA-shi-ta) is japanese. it has the kanji 失 (shitsu: loss) and 敗 (hai: defeat) as well as the hiragana shi, ma, shi, ta. For those who didn't get the reference, the names Raven and Lenore are references to the poem The Raven, by Edgar Allan Poe. It's about someone anxiously waiting for death to come and take him, basically. This game reminds me of Nanashi No Game, an horror Nintendo DS game that came out only in japan. There is a fan translation, if you want to try out, and it's basically the same stuff: The "game" itself is in the real world and you play a old-school retro game that seems to have effect on the real world. It's a great game.

Interesting how the whole time it was hinting at loss of eyes and from Raven's webcame, a hate for her and a demonized version of her and each time she went through it seemed to be her going through the motions and leaving everyone to die and subtle hint on the abuse she and Lenore underwent during childhood and her leaving her sister behind, Lenore wanting Raven back. and when File started talking to her, he said how it was Raven who was the true monster, almost like he was teaching a lesson. And the whole time when they say that she has a choice between her and her sister, whilst there is no choice she continues on the eroded path and the signs of her sister dying such as the eyes the hospitalized Lenore with her eye out it all was making sense. Interesting

I looove the creepy-ass, isolated, lonely atmosphere this game guilds. The fact we learn she spends "too much time on her computer", despite how painfully little there is to actually do on it, just sends chills up your spine. And the nightmare tree window view doesn't help either

I love the connection with the names being from The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe. The Raven throughout the entire poem acts as a reminder of death to the narrator, who is grieving his lost love Lenore. Lenore's death in the game is basically foreshadowed from the start.

I noticed after I saw the two sisters names that both of the names are related to works by Edgar Allan Poe, aka the father of the horror genre. I'm going to paste his poem "The Raven" here and maybe us in the comment section can read into it further? This game was just so vague and interesting, I feel like there's more to it. Dear, Mark Its been awhile since Ive been out of a hospital bed. Watching your videos makes me smile. Back in 2013 I found out I had cancer......... Around this time I got very very upset. I quit school and I quit on my family and friends. I got told I wasnt going to live very long. I Had to stay in the hospital bed daily. And I got made fun of from different people of my looks before that. This was all to much for me. So in March of 2014....... I wanted to kill myself......... I didnt because I realised how thankful I should be to have family and friends and even have a home and food ex. After 2015 (2016) I started watching ur Videos in early Febuary. My mom would rush into my hospital room and as "DID THE DOCTORS GIVE YOU LAUGHING GAS?!?!" I would say no And that I was just watching a amazing guy named " Markiplier". I watched you every day And YOU were the only person I had on my subscription. In early August of 2016........ I beat Cancer :) I started to become more active and more caring about other....
