I hate it when nothing is working for the viewer, but the owner of the video can work fine with anything...

You would either use the IP address of the FTP server you want to access, or you would use a website if they had a site like FTPSite.com.

Make sure you are going to your web hosting control panel to get the FTP information to use so you can log in ( if you are using a web hosting client)

If you are using Google Merchant, are the username and password generated in the 'FTP Settings' in Google Merchant's dashboard? I did not get FileZilla to connect. What should the 'host' be? I tried 'ftp' and then my site name as in 'http, etc ...'. It is a Google site. What should the 'host' be in this case please? Thanks in advance.

FileZilla is available as both an FTP Server and an FTP Client, although this tutorial. will only cover the client. FileZilla is Open Source and available Free of Charge.*+* MNH

The only problem with all of this is that with setting as local and not a designated site I cannot communicate with my partner in another town to send me files so we will have to look at another tutorial to get specifics on user passwords and host sites this is a great tutorial though and well explained just slightly redundant in terms of communicating to a specific person for file transferring

CANT CONNECT? FIX (for me): You NEED to go on your HOST WEBSITE (for me it was hostmonster.com) and there are options there about making your FTP account (you create a new username and password there). Once created. HOST: (your website address- www.example.com or example.com) Username: (whatever name you created in the FTP account on ur host) Password (whatever password you created in the FTP account on ur host website).
