the siopao you tried is actually baked siopao bun(brown). we also have steamed siopao bun (white). Steamed siopao is always available at 7-11. Baked siopao is only available in select bakeries. siopao is Chinese-inspired so you can always have them from China towns all over the US. So is taho. But Chinese sell taho only in places where there's a lot of Filipinos such as in New York City.

Sir Kurt,, the use of rice is to balance the saltiness of the viand like the adobo,,most of Asian food are salty so they always add rice to neutralized the salted taste.. Enjoy the food 😅😅

Spaghetti anytime of the day's in the Philippines, I believe the other bread is pan de coco which is sweet stuff of coconut.

Kuya kurt!!!! The tuna they had for the pan de tuna are the flakes in can. Prepped it with their blends and spices. Then baked to goodness. The toasted siopao is a bun with pork and egg filling. Most white siopaos are steamed whereas for this one is toasted or baked.

Kurt you are so kind for promoting their business... paying full price for only sampling their dishes.

the filling in the pan de tuna is most likely the canned "century" brand tuna that comes in a variety of savory flavors like adobo, afritada, caldereta, calamansi, etc.
