Just a short disclaimer: I do not hate fchamp in any way, in fact I think having a "heel" in the community makes things a lot more interesting (tho it seems this role is now being filled by the developers themselves). It is especially good when said heel not only talks smack, but also destroys almost anyone who stands up to him.
Action speaks louder than WORDS! Yipes is allowed to run and clothesline Champ. The question is does he have the balls to actually do it? Talk is cheap!
@@pogingkritiko4748 You must not have ever been to a tourney before. Physical altercations are one of the major rules not allowed. If it was the 90s then that'd be a different story.
@@pogingkritiko4748 did you realize, 1 year after leaving this comment, that Yipes was joking and hyping up Champ's villain act? Or are you still a fool?
I love Fchamp's play style and mind games. You may not like him but you have to admit he does bring guaranteed HYPE to the FGC. One of FGC Legends for sure.
His ring pyschology is very good but his keep away tactics is very cheap and doesn't take much skill they need to take the time off and play sudden death fight to the bitter end that is what makes you a even better Fighter and gets more credibility as a true Fighter period
FChamp was smart enough to realise that the better you did in MVC3 the more villainous you become. It is in the nature of the game. Just look at Apologyman, RyanLV or Flux. Champ just went the whole way with it.
wille9 P But the dude is different in person lol. His kinda 'kind' if you meet him in a place that is less crowded. He acts differently towards people on tournaments and stream but if his not with this kinda crowd, his.... Normal lol.
@@guilhermeneves9185 that's not playing the heel, that's just a big "fuck you" to a dude standing right behind him straight up SCREAMING that he's a fucking scrub. You'll note that FChamp actually shook the other PLAYER'S hand.
I like champ because he makes things more interesting, has a lot of skills to back it up, and from what I've heard from numerous fgc people, he is actually a really nice person in real life.
Couple of years back he came here to the Philippines being half Filipino(obviously). He came back every once in a while. He is really nice in person. I see people talking to him and he looks cool and nice. He just loves the negative attention when the camera is on. Still one of my fighting game heroes. A very entertaining one for sure.
wille9 P I don’t know about all that. That’s also a sweeping general statement you’re making. Lots of pros simply play who they love. And plus, Fchamp’s teams are almost always stacked with actually villainous characters, solidifying his status as the heel.
It's funny that people still don't get it. It's called mind games. Mental warfare. Just like what other competitors do like UFC champ Conor Mcgregor. He just does that to get into your mind and destroy you mentally to possibly ruin your performance. It's a bonus that what he does makes him more interesting. Either we hate or love him, still, you gotta admit that he got into our minds too.
Sometimes this is the case; sometimes it is fragile egos and immaturity… you cannot tell the difference sometimes so i always just assume the latter because the former is much more rare.
I'm just so humbled and thankful I was alive to witness the legendary era of UMVC3. What an amazing journey it has been. Just a few of the reasons why this will be always be the greatest fighting game of all time in my eyes.
@@nexxusty yeah… anyone in a wheelchair with their cock out of service and back pain lol. Game wouldn’t still be thriving if that was true. You’re just old and washed up like your game is. Gotta hold that shit old fella 🤷♂️
Champ also plays three different assists and not many people play or deal with doom rocks with are awesome. Plus his alt team with dorm is insane. He’s mastered mag, doom, phen, and dorm. Meter positive teams with infinite’s and tools. He can also fight with regular phen.
I'm a Tekken player and I love how much Tekken's grown lately but... I miss Marvel days man. I miss players like FChamp, Chris G, Flux, Cloud805, ApologyMan and many others, with their precise, fast thinking and elegant plays. I definitely miss a 'villain' like FChamp who backed up his shit talk, with super impressive reading and execution abilities. C'mon UMVC3 community bring your game back. This was one intense game competitively (even if I can't understand a lot of what's happening).
Finally some FGC stuff ! That's so awesome. More of that, Please :) (except for ChrisG or MorriDoom's BS in general) Many moments I didn't before see though. He really enjoyed being a villain much more than I thought XD
ChrisG is still BS to me, it won't change, I'm still sick of him, and will always hate the way he plays. He's so cheap, abusing everything broken about the game... u_u"
Max Madmax you hate on marvel #1 player for no reason for his team when compared to zero and other stuff his team is not as cheap. You are to stupid to notice that and you will continue to suck yourself off telling yourself that he is bs and cheap when in fact his playstyle is perfectly reasonable. Every time i see your comment i am going to come after your scrubby ass.
He gets most of his wins because Capcom made so many dumb decisions... When will you understand That ?! I'll never get how you can respect a dude like him. He's the lamest player I know.
He was really a nice guy in person. His asshole persona was just an act to make people hate him in order to attract more audiences because FGC at that time in the west is almost dying.
Joe Momma 100+ matches a day with Ricki Ortiz and other SF and Marvel gods. In his appearance on 'Excellent Adventures' he said he has to practice like that to keep up with Asian players whom have that dedication to master their game.
Heel players are a mixed bag for me honestly. They give hype in both outcomes, if they win or lose, but I'm wondering how it could be... well, a bit demoralizing for the person on the other end of the heel players match
Nobody wants to see respect and good sportsmanship all the time. While I feel its the right way to go. I also feel like some of the greatest matches have happened out of players being villains or shit talk to be blunt. Just look at how far Champ has come and you will see why he is a perfect villain. Other examples would be people like Leffen Ryan Lv Sonic fox. Everyone loves you until you start winning.
At that same Winter Brawl 10 when he dissed KBR....he put KBR in losers....only to see him again...and was handed "meteors in ass" by KBR. #thisisjustice
One year on and i still feel satly people complaining bout FChamps' antics. Grow up sum pubics urself and grind the pads - prove your mettle in the matches to tell im wrong or just simply pucker up and play your tetris.
i think you must hate the creator of the character because he made it that magneto's skill. And that is a legal gaming. He just play magneto and use the skill of magneto so why everyone hates him? and if you hate him hate the creator of the character instead.
