There is such a large dyspora of Filipinos around the world including Africa and the Middle East . And that is the reason why a lot of Filipino artist can travel and perform as they have a niche and a ready and waiting audience.A lot of Filipino OFWs( overseas Filipino workers) and hearing these Filipino artists/singers brings them a taste of home and the emotional nostalgia that it comes with!

I would recommend Kris Lawrence as well. You will not be disappointed. Another underrated talented singer from the Philippines. He has a cover of Versace on the floor which is chef’s kiss and also has original songs.

Yeah. I forgot. This guy is a bomb. I've able to see him in person live at one of his gigs and man, this R&B master guy's style is tasteful and can hold a note wirhout flinching. This guy is often tagging with a friend whose also a wonderful singer. JayR. They have a group together with a dancer/performer/host Billy Joe Crawford. The name of the group is Soul Brothers.

Be careful when placing a medley choices because if it is filipino, naturally it is long because filipinos eats the mic for breakfast. Please do check Ms. Jonalyn Viray. I woud like to suggest Charice but she is a thing of the past (but she is indeed a great singer and have done a brief international stint) because she's a transman now. So Jonah Viray it is.

Omg you both are on point with each one of Budakhel! Individually, they are incredible singers, but man, when they collab, it’s pure magic! I’m partial to Bugoy, don’t much care for reggae unless he’s singing it. But honestly, I love them all! What’s up from Bugoy, Rude from Daryl and Bakit Ba Ikaw. Love watching you both discover as many have, me included, the phenomenal artists of the Philippines.

Each one of those 3 singers are popular on their own here in the Philippines and have their own forte or music styles.. they work separately as singers and do collaborations every once in a while, which resulted in magically amazing version of musical pieces..

For female suggestion may I recommend Moira dela Torre and Elaine Duran since Johnny like angst in music hahahaha. Moira sings with such "hugot" (a Filipino term for the feels). Paubaya and Kumpas are great songs to start. Both have Wish Bus live versions. Or you can check out Elaine. Her Tawag Ng Tanghalan rendition of Someday (originally sung by Nina) is beautiful. For future Filipino Fridays, I would suggest checking out the Pinoy bands. Lola Amour, Dilaw, IV of Spades and Parokya ni Edgar. Thank you and more power as always. 😁

As Johnny mentioned that he's a big Beatles fan, you guys need to checkout 'REO Brothers'. All members are real life brothers and they do a lot of classical bands like Beatles, Beegees, Alan Parson's, Dire Straits, etc. Their followers consider them tribute bands rather than cover band as they really bring in the nostolgia of the music of yesteryears like no other. Every member can sing and play instruments very well. They have lots of fan favorites but here are my personal recommendations: REO Brothers - The Ballad Of John & Yoko REO Brothers - (Our Love) Don’t Throw It All Away | Bee Gees / Andy Gibb REO Brothers - Sirius / Eye In The Sky | The Alan Parsons Project I hope you guys feature them on one of your Filipino Fridays. ❤❤❤
