I approve of divorce here and anywhere else in the world. It is never right to stay in a toxic marriage. I have seen a few during my years that ended in the victim being killed by an abusive spouse. I have seen kids grow up learning that love means allowing a person to treat you bad, and they become adults that repeated the cycle. As yall said, if two people are compatible and marry for the right reasons, there wont be a need to divorce. I think it should be a choice made by the two people that it will effect.

karamihan ng anti-divorce lalaki, karamihan ng pro-divorce babae.. pansinin ninyo sa senate.. kasi ang lalake ang madalas magkaroon ng kabit kaysa babae, then they wanted their wives not to get away using the divorce law.. kaya sbi ni Jesus sa Matthew 19: "I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, EXCEPT for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.” kaya may EXCEPT is because DIVORCE is not suggested but it is ALLOWED..

Allowing divorce seems like a no brainer to me. Also child support and birth control, sex education is needed in the phone? Wife gets beat by her husband it's stupid to make them stay married

I know first hand now after my visit to Manila. I know a Filipina that separated years ago that they have been trying to save money just to get a divorce there. The laws are too strict there

Roger & Ismi, it is good to see, hear and know that you and your family are sustaining. Thank you for touching on such a hot topic currently in the Philippines, but one which touches the world and humanity. I subscribe to your channel because of the way you two approach such cringe worthy topics. You offer a perspective on past, present and future from the eyes of young people and as a couple, with such sincerity, common sense, intelligence and still virtuous. This topic of laws binds by church yet altered by state to benefit both satisfaction and unsatisfaction remains a challenge. My opinion however is rather to amend existing laws to benefit more safety in such a union. Where there is abuse and proof of abuse then shall those amendments apply. The weakness of willingness towards sustaining a marriage is a blight on the laws set for the binding of partnership. Much more can be said, but I agree with your eyes/soul's content on this matter. Continued blessings too you both and thank you for your thoughts and courage.

I am a Canadian living in the Philippines. I am constantly seeing things in this society and culture that remind me of Canada 70 years ago. Widespread use of birth control would solve a huge number of the problems here. Producing children and puppies you cannot afford to feed and care for is ridiculous.

Lots of Filipina's trapped in abusive marriages. Or husbands that have started families and abandoned there children and wife with no support. A Lot of these women become OFW's and only get to see their children once a year. Grandma takes care of the kids. No father or sometime mother around. The divorce bill could help.As it is now only Muslims are aloud divorce. Or you can get divorced in other country such as Hong Kong where the divorce is recognized in every country but the Philippines. As far as Filipino culture there is a lot of separated families where there is now adultery. Unfortunately the culture has changed over the years. 😢

People probably think of their society breaking down.But a toxic relationship is worse for the spouse and especially children.They begin to think this is normal and the chain goes unbroken.Will divorce repair society?It is sad.We here in the USA have a society breaking down also.But I think more dangerous.Our leaders promoting hate, violence and massive gun violence.Actually the Philippines is like heaven

Also, I'm glad that they are gonna hopefully pass the bill where you can get a divorce in the Philippines. Because there's always you know. Like we said different reasons. Why if you can't fix something you need to get out of bed. And then somebody's coming from the another state that finds somebody alike. And then the woman can get a divorce that makes it good for foreigners. Or whoever comes to the Philippines to the date. That person is all. I think it works both ways. Welcome back guys, 🙏❤ and my comment on the divorce laws in the Philippines, there are two sides, and even those men's laws might be acceptable to the world, doesn't means that it's acceptable in the eyes of God, so even though many might get divorced in the Philippines, we all have to be very careful not to fall into a sin of adultery, because the bible says that the only way for a divorce is if someone cheated, and I think if someone is being abuse, and the sad part is couples might get divorced because they fell out of love, and they found someone else, and in America peoples get divorced all the time, and it's very sad and depressing for the kids, but the good side is there are many couples in the Philippines that are separated and get move on, so that's also very sad, so if this law pass, it will help many people to be able to move on with their lives

What they really need for the millions of single mothers...as well as divorce...is enforced child support orders. The item that deters divorce in the west is the cost of divorce. People in the Philippines will move on without a divorce but the threat of dating someone separated and possibly going to jail for it discourages any recovery of the family unit.
@PR-ic3cu
@PR-ic3cu 4 месяца назад
So you just going to do the same as in the west and say, only fathers should have to pay child support? It should be HE or SHE that cheats that is responsible for child support, if no cheating then equal responsibility and custody
@PR-ic3cu
@PR-ic3cu 4 месяца назад
I am extremely shocked you would support this, you have obviously not done any research into how divorce has destroyed the family unit in every country it has been legalized
@LoveyourLife-1970

Hard to get juice from a turnip. Enforcing child support on a man that makes 300 pesos a day net pay is like punishing him for being poor when he leaves a toxic marriage. How can a government enforce child support here when the jobs barely pay enough to manage the bills? This is why there are so many OFWs. Jobs here in most of the smaller, less funded province areas pay right at the point where their employees will have enough money to pay bills and pay the tricycle for their to and from work costs. Add in a kid or two with food and school costs, and they are completely struggling with a one house income. A lot of houses with children only have one working parent. Many do not trust baby sitters since there are a lot of bad things being done to children, even by relatives (especially male relatives) and even then, they would have to pay for the child care many times. So the whole system needs to be restructured and funded from the ground up. Starting with a a better mandated minimum wage without requiring a college degree for basic jobs.
@MikeTheDigitalNomad
@MikeTheDigitalNomad 4 месяца назад
@@LoveyourLife-1970 The challenge is he may only make 300 pesos per day but the reality is single moms typically have little to no income and kids to feed. Not sure if I recall correctly but the law there is 25% of your income for a first child and 5% more for each additional child which is completely unenforced. Paying something is better than paying nothing and letting your kids starve or drop out of school to earn money.
@seans7228

Hello Roger & Ismi, First I will always love you two and your stuck with me if you want me😁my story is a long one and tangled🤔I am a divorce father with 3 kids that I raised by myself😪I was married for over 20 years but my ex wife cheated on me many times, most likely more times then I know about, even one time that was right in front of me on the phone while we were still married😠I even sent her and my first son, when he was my only son, now with 2 sons and a daughter, to Seattle for a vacation to visit her mother and step father, and she cheated on me then😡I know because she received a letter that I found in the mail and opened it to find a guy professing his love to her and wondered when she would return🤬I told her we could reconcile but never be unfaithful again.Over the years I never raised a hand to her I just "thought of the kids". We were married for over 20 years where I told her "I will do all the outside work if you tack care of any kids we have". Sadly it ended up in divorce where she told the judge "I can't handle the kids" so I became a single father of 3😞I still have a relationship with all 3 now 35, 28 & 26 but it's distant because there involved in their lives and my daughter recently moved in "temporarily" with my ex-wife and her new husband, the guy she was having a talk with on the phone when we were still married😕 We divorced and she bankrupt me, stole the house I was paying for and tried to ruin me with her friends and everyone else? but I'm still alive, even after having a stroke, and now on Social Security, I'm labeled as Disabled so I don't work any longer but at least "I ain't dead"😂

I'm Andrew. I live in the Washington, DC area of Virginia in the United States. I really like your content. Especially when it gets spicy. It's quite informative and engaging. I have a multiple part question that might be good for a future video or series. What's your advice for guys (Filipino or foreign) who are virgins? Especially if they are interested in Filipinas who are not virgins. I also have mental illness ... bipolar and attention deficit disorder (ADD). When should something like that be brought up? I'm currently 42 and a born again Christian. I'm saving my virginity to give my future wife as my wedding gift to her (after marriage). I only want one sexual partner ... my future wife. Divorce is not an option for me. I mean it's legal in the United States. But I'm more concerned about pleasing God. Divorce is not biblical. So, I won't entertain the idea of that.

I'm not sure but maybe PH is the only country in the world where there is no divorce. We are living in the 21st century, so let go of the 'old traditions'. You are a 'democratic' country, so allow people the freedom to decide for their lives. And the power of the Church has to be diminished a lot, because they keep PH in the 19th century!

I think that an annulment happens in the first few months until the situation is resolved, with the result that it is treated far too lightly, like here in the West. For me, it is only a last resort and a failure since I have not managed to save the marriage. I am also bound by European law where an annulment is possible without fault, but it says that even after the separation, I have to take care of the children and the wife, or if the wife earns more, she has to take care of the children and me, regardless of where the family is. This also applies to US citizens and other western citizens. What about running away and then the next person, they still have the care and obligation of the first marriage with them. The new law is a first step in the Philippines to alleviate the suffering of many couples for whom keeping the family or relationship together is absolutely unbearable. The best advice is always available from the appropriate places such as courts, municipal counseling centers, embassies., even free of charge. Not on Facebook.

Divorce will destroy the Philippines, just look at the US. Divorce here in the States was meant for extreme cases at first, now in 2024 we have no fault divorce where people don't need a reason at all and most people I know here have broken families. It's gotten so bad her men are refusing to get married. It that what you want there in the Philippines? I love the Philippines and just want what's best. Don't make the same mistakes that we have.

Wow.... If you all want to grow your channel and make more money while doing what you like... Get rid of the guy, NOT GET RID OF HIM LIKE A BREAK UP... I'm not saying that. But what I am saying is to make the channel about her. She will make the channel grow FAST. Most of the audience are men, he kills the vibe when he interrupts the girl... she doesn't have to be seductive or anything, just be herself and NEVER mention she is married or whatever, the channel will grow quickly. So get rid of that dude, DO WHAT YOU WANT... But the guy is killing the channel. Ps. This is not my first time seeing you all.
