The Jadeite grease jar sparked some nostalgia. Raise your hand if you grew up at a time when mothers kept a grease jar on the stove (most had a strainer). My mom poured off and reused grease and oil over and over and over again. I can't understand how we all didn't die from old bacon, pork chop, and fried chicken grease, and I never did it in my own kitchen as an adult, but man, I'm not gonna lie, it made the food taste so much better. Old bacon grease and the risk of death were a heck of a seasoning, I guess.
The green cake plate❤ Just like my mother had. It was broken in a move when my mom tripped over a curb while carrying it. She was okay no injury I’m happy to say but we were both upset her cake plate was shattered. I still remember the plate it was one of my favorites.
I often smile and snicker under my breath at your running commentary, but you literally made me LaUGH OUT LOUD at your "suggestion" to test the unbreakability of the tree topper 😂
Oh! The cat, the cat! Its so adorable I almost cried lol! I probably would have if you left it 😁 All in all, this seemed a FANTASTIC haul...just loved everything you got! 💖👍
I LOVE that double- decker cart with sides even on the bottom level to keep things safe, esp with your penchant for glass! More room for more stuff before you have to head up front to unload and make room! They seem ideal for the purpose! Just a thought...😊
We have the same double decker carts in our grocery stores here in Oregon. We also have the standard big carts, but I personally like the double decker ones because I only shop for myself & they are easier to maneuver 😊
@@deborahmannino3775 The quality and uniqueness is better at the Antique Malls as well. Love these trips so much more. Almost everything is beautiful.
@@debbiefox6846 I agree, the quality and all the information CLL gives us is so great. All the glass is beautiful! We get to see such interesting things!
You definitely need to keep a black light on you, and then remember that there's actually a lot of white glass that glows. When you were in Bedford, one shelf you showed had a 1930s World's Fair vinegar bottle. They look like milk glass, but glow very bright. Not worth a ton (~$30), but are very much in demand by collectors. Plus the black light can help with your crystal pieces, as lead will glow blue under it.
In one your videos recently you found a tiny hen on nest. It looked like it a blue color. I love it! I hope its in your next Whatnot sale! I've learned so much from you!
Looove that spagetti cat. I couldn't possibly have left it behind. I would've also picked up that dog at the beginning but I'm a sucker for ceramic animals. My best ever find was a large Beswick cat I found at a local thrift store for Aussie$5; probably about US$3. I love it so much that I'm not selling it though.
I love the crazing too. It shows age and just has a look about it that a perfect newer piece just doesn't have. Honestly I see nothing wrong with it IMHO.😊
Good afternoon Crazy Lamp Lady. Glad to see you're doing well. Your thrifting skills are absolutely superlative. What a haul - especially all those vintage plates and vases. . 👍😊
Fantastic video now this is the way I like to see everyone shop. I like it when they buy a lot. I don’t know why, but it just excites me and I’m happy for you all. I hope you do great and I’ll have it with you believe you will you always do. Thanks for the video and I will catch you on the next one.
I make button bouquets with old mother of pearl buttons. I have two tin really old pitchers, I put them inside. I also buy round old salt and pepper shakers, to make snowmen for craft items. I also have a collection of very mini old dolls, I’ll be selling soon.
I really appreciate how we all like different things.. I would never have looked at the blue cantaloupe vase/bowl, but the hobnail milk glass vase behind it? Heck yeah! 🎉🤍
Girl! So many beauties! I am so glad you bought the Italian spaghetti cat. He is wonderful. The blue round canister thingy lol was my favourite. The glaze is spectacular. Thank you!
Awww CLL been on Vacation trying recoup! Here I am starting on most recent and going backward s catch all your videos. Always again Bless YOU and your FAMILY ❤️ 😍 💖
Love watching you , watch you every day , I have learnt so much from you. I love the flow blue plates and the blue glass vase💕As I’m Irish ( living in France) love the Waterford.
Hi ! I Collect salt glazed pottery, when you walk by it I scream ,look at that and how much is it .There was a small crock with a bird on it, I would have bought it right then .You are so lucky to have so many shops available ! Love your videos ♡♡♡♡♡
Great score today, especially on the Bill Campbell! I've been lucky enough to find a teapot by him, thanks to watching your RU-vid videos. Thank you!!!
Go back & grab that ceramic dog.. You know you'll get more than triple the value. Was really cute too, honestly can't believe you passed on it, was only $13
My late father used to say to us x5 sisters and a brother " when in town keep your window down " meaning to look around all the time as you don't know what is under your feet
That glowey plate is lovely i would think to myself would this scratch a table surface because of the chipped foot & cleaning it you would have to watch you dont clean near the chip . just thinking of the bigger picture😊
Maybe Goodwill will learn a hard lesson. Seems that all their OVERPRICED items that they receive for FREE are ending up at the Goodwill bins. My personal experience tells me so. I’ve been shopping at the bins lately and finding some amazing deals. 😊❤
That spaghetti cat is amazing! Sorry, but I hope you can sell him as I want him, am in love❤❤❤ the best thing I've seen in years.....apart from my real cat Jasper....let us know what your thoughts are on him???? Am addicted to your show 😂😂😂
