In Spain, mostly south and east (Andalucía, Murcia and Valencia), we eat something called MOJAMA, that's salted tuna usually soaked in olive oil. It taste like a "sea ham". I don't really like it but it's a very precious food here in Spain. Anyway, when you salt some fish, you have to rinse it after get it out of the salt. If you don't rinse it, then you are just eatting pure salt and you won't be able to taste the real flavour. Greetings from far away!!
Salted codfish is one of the staple food of Portugal. We have over 500 ways to prepare it! Maybe you can check it out for ideas. You can dip the fish in water for one day and then grill it in charcoal, or you can make delicious soup 🥣. Thank you for all the deliciousness and kniwledge in your videos 😊
Oh thank goodness, Masaru!!! You are good!! And have blessed us with another video! Take it easy my friend. Your health is most important to everyone who watches.
here in Indonesia we often use salted fish chopped as ingredient for nasi goreng, granted our salted fish usually sun dried after being salted but maybe you can deep fried it to make it crunchy and used it the same way or crushed it roughly and use as furikake? I don't like salted fish but if it's in nasi goreng or fried rice, I love it.
Yo Masaru! I need one of those Yoake shirts, they’re cool! Congrats on all your hard work. Losing all that weight while running your processing plant must have been super difficult 😅
Glancing at the thumbnail I first thought the fishs horn was part of the mouth, giving it a happy open mouth, but then I saw the title of the video and realised it's just a horn and the small mouth is further below. I liked the happy big mouth fish more😭
I think in the past people used to leave the salted meat in water overnight to remove the salt. I'm not sure if it works with fish though. You might want to try that as well.🤷🏽♂️
In Indonesia we have something called "jambal roti" which is a fish that being salted until you just need half thumb to eat it with 1 portion of rice. The flavour is almost none, just like salt but its more like love or hate food in here. We usually eat it with sour vegetable. Its just many vegetable added with java sour.😂😂😂
Where I'm from we have those long-salted fish as a way of preserving them, but you need to soak them overnight in clean water before frying them. This way they're not too salty.
