I've been watching your DIY videos. Instead of clips, velcro and magnets you can often use Blu Tack. It holds plastic palettes very securely for example and you can use a little bit to stop your pencil or brush from rolling away. Virginia looks very nice
It doesn’t hold much paint. Only about a chocolate chip sized drop. But, it doesn’t take much paint when you’re working in a tiny sketchbook. I’m about halfway through my little sketchbook and I haven’t had to refill any paint. 🙂
I did mine yesterday. I chose Paynes gray instead of burnt sienna. I paint a lot of moody skies and I just could not leave it out. Lol It’s hard scaling down to only 8 paints. It’ll be fun to play with tho.
It is so hard limiting yourself to just 8 colors! But there is the advantage of having better color harmony. But choosing the right colors is difficult. I may play around with different colors as I use them up. Paynes or Jane’s gray is a favorite of mine too! I’m interested in what other colors you chose for your palette, if you don’t mind sharing?
@@kimberlyhyltonart I chose, lemon yellow, yellow medium, permanent red, cad red light hue, cerulean blue, ultramarine blue, yellow ochre and Paynes gray. It’s taking some getting used to. My greens are not consistent. The shades are all over the place. 🥴
@@moonchaserstudio that’s a good choice of colors! You should be able to mix a good range of hues with them. With your yellows and blues you could get about any color of green you want!
