@@leif1075 It's more likely a reference to Black Peter (Zwarte Piet) who was the black companion of Saint Nicholas in Dutch folklore. For a couple of weeks leading up to the Feast of Saint Nicholas on December 5, people in the Netherlands would celebrate the character by dressing in Medieval costume and wearing blackface. More recently, it's become a very controversial subject with both those for and against it involved in violent incidents. McKinnon's character is obviously just being her completely politically incorrect self.
mallaire My favorite is Olga(?) the older Russian lady. Probably the only time in the last 5+ years that SNL had me laughing so hard I felt like I'd been doing crunches and had tears in the corners of my eyes, was one of her Weekend Update, old Russian lady sketches lol. So so good 😂
Joan Crawford was one. That was addressed in that show about Bettie Davis & Joan making the movie WHATEVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE. (I love old Hollywood) First boob job was done on in the 30s (can you imagine being the first)& some actually did have lower ribs removed for a smaller waistline. Makes me wonder what else happened that we'll never know about. The industry has always been a nightmare for women, children, animals & I'm sure men too. Having to hide the fact their gay. Fame has a high price but ppl still dream of it. Would like to know the full story behind what they tried to do to Dave C. Anyone have any information on such stories, please share.
@Goodbye USA Got a reference for that? It's been stated multiple times that Crawford and Dietrich both had their molars removed, and had dental issues for the rest of their lives.
@@bwold9138 when Marlene Dietrich raised to notoriety for her successful film _My Blue Angel_ (1930), she got a contract with Paramount and moved to Hollywood. She was told to loose weight and had her wisdom teeth removed, not all her molars. She was supposed to be Paramount's Greta Garbo. That's why she had very pronounced, high cheek bones. You can tell the difference in her earlier films in Germany and when she moved to Hollywood. She lost all her baby fat
"Little Peter No No" "Marriott Courtyard"!!! My 85 yo mom who recently passed used to slaughter words and names like this. She'd call DVDs DBD's and say "get on the line" for "go online"...I literally laughed till I cried!!!
Im French , not born in the US and speak it fluently. But that doesn’t not sound like a French accent 😂. Nice try though . She does a great Sussex , English accent for sure 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
@@frenchtoast7742 take a look at her moving tribute in the intro back when the Paris attacks happened....she spoke in French....let me know what you think
@@coreymineard Lil Peter NoNo is hitting on so many levels, the controversial #me too movement along with Lypitas rise to stardom co-inflicts with deBette s time line.
This just went straight to the top of my SNL favorites. I adore Kate Mckinnon and Melissa McCarthy anyways, especially together. "These are my lungs" 😂😂💀
Melissa and Kate together have me in stitches.😂😂 And for the little sister comment, I'm not sure if I'm correct, but I heard somewhere that sometimes if an actress had a daughter they had to pretend it was their sister because it would be considered a "bad look" for them or something. I'm glad they put that in there.
Its painful to watch But damn...together make an unbelievable team. Beware. These woman will be taking over the country and will actually work to make the US better.
I love these sketches. They put in perspective troubles and issues vs “troubles and issues” I wish they had a comparable set of sketches for guys and also the wealthy. It might bring enough sense to calm people down these days across the board.
Why is it so with so less views This gave me a laughter riot. Watched it many times even after that it's still hilarious. All the punchlines are amazing
I like that they knew enough about Marion Cotillard's career to know she was in _Highlander_. She actually appeared twice. Her first was a minor, uncredited role before coming back as a different character a few episodes later.
Fun fact: the thing about the molars being removed is true. Joan Crawford was pressured to get the procedure by her studio, as well as countless others. It's called "the buckle".
