Again, wins and loses are a team stat. Brady had 20 consecutive seasons with a top 10 defense. Most of them a top 5. The one year his D wasn't top 10 was his only losing season. This is one of those things where numbers and personal accomplishments override feelings and opinions.

Both losses weren't Mahomes fault. One game Brady threw an interception that was called back by a guy lining up offsides. The second, Mahomes O-Line was completely injured.

Brady is the most successful qb and Mahomes is the more talented qb at this point. Pretty sure ring rule was just made up for Jordan although he doesn’t have the most rings in basketball. You know greatness when you see it. Brady was smart and hardworking so he became great… Mahomes has been great the whole time talent wise and now he’s learning to be more disciplined and do the ‘work smarter not harder’ Brady method that you can afford when you have a defense. Nobody is trying to diminish anyones greatness but objectively Mahomes is more talented physically. I saw someone say that Mahomes is an artist and Brady is a surgeon. Mahomes can do stuff Brady couldn’t, Brady won more than him obviously because Pat has only been a starter for 6 years and Brady had 20 already

the first match-up Mahomes outplayed Brady by every statistical metric except total yards (which Brady was able to get because he was the one who got the ball in overtime, and to his credit, had a perfect drive). Mahomes had a WAY better passer rating, more touchdowns and fewer interceptions. add to that the fact that Mahomes was going up against a defence that would hold the greatest show on turf to THREE POINTS in the superbowl, and he put 31 points on them, whilst Brady was going up against one of the worst defences in the league that season (in that game, the Chiefs gave up over 500 total yards of offense, compared to the Patriots giving up barely over 300, almost all of which Mahomes accounted for in passing yards). Mahomes played brilliantly in that game and quite honestly you're being disingenuous if you believe otherwise. (plus it is a factual statement to say that if Dee Ford doesn't line up offsides on that 3rd and 10, the Chiefs win that game - down four points with 54 seconds left and they would have had to burn all three timeouts to stop the clock on each of the next three possessions; the best case scenario is that they get the ball back with about 20 seconds left at their own 25, and not even a Brady led offense is getting a touchdown from there to win the game.) the second match up Brady outplayed him straight up - although it is at the very least fair to acknowledge that Mahomes was dealing with a turf-toe injury and had an offensive line down to its backups playing in the wrong position, and he got pressured on more of his dropbacks than any quarterback has EVER been pressured in a playoff game. Brady hands down deserved to win that second match up - he played basically a perfect game - but the Chiefs didn't lose because Patrick wasn't good enough.
