Overall good performance against one of the best defenses in football. The last throw was horrific but I still think the positives of his performance outweigh that

I've been telling everyone all year that by the eye test, the 49ers aren't one of the best defenses. It's just the narrative the analysts go with because they see certain players names and they think about previous seasons. But if you truly watch them play, they're in middle of the pack in the the NFL. And I'm not hating. It just facts. Im a die hard 49ers fans.

seemed SUPER rigged. He never threw a pass like that in college. not one time all season long. It seemed completely like someone who was told to throw a game to objective eyes. I cannot say I believe that for certain . But I also read the FBI report on this and the NFL playoffs are who they want market revenue directed to. The NFL is so suspect now and it sucks .

It's a failure of Packers coaching not to communicate the game situation to Love: 1st and 10 on your own 36 with only 30 yards needed for a realistic field goal attempt to tie the game with 2 timeouts remaining. This is assuming he threw this out of desperation which usually is the case for these types of throws. You also have to question LaFleurs decision not to take timeouts to save even 40 seconds there although at the time it looked like a sneaky good decision. I think Love's level of desperation went up a notch seeing less than one minute on the game clock.
@jesusoftheapes
@jesusoftheapes 4 месяца назад
That did not happen . That is not what happened at all . either the NFL is rigged or Jordan Love choked hard . He knew what the down and moment was . It just suddenly happened that Jordan threw a pass into the coverage in a way he has never attempted through college or high school and definitely not this season . Either he was told the throw the game or he choked . It had 0 to do with coaching.

As a Bears fan, I am deeply upset that Love looks like the 3rd franchise qb in a row for literally my entire life. I’m not mad at the Packers but how in the big F can the bears not get one qb right ever in the SB era? One would think by having GB in your division that they’d pick up a thing or two from GB. Love may have lost it for them in the end but he looked like the better qb and like he belonged at this stage for the vast majority of this game. A big part of his success is due to LaFluer being an excellent coach as well

Packers defense was not near as good as the Niners. Packers offense was full of rookies and 2nd year receivers. Niners have the best overall RB and Deebo Samuel and Aiyuk and Kittle. Their kicker and special teams better too. How you think Packers were the better team? Not factual at all.

The last few weeks, all I've heard is how Love will be GB's new superstar QB and he's going to be great. I don't know... he's probably going to be mid with a few high-ceiling games but also a pretty low floor. He was 9-8, had a lot of games where he looked downright terrible or mediocre. He got hot for a couple games at the end of the season against bad defenses and a Dallas choke job. He makes a lot of high risk, back foot throws that he got away with lately, but that kind of luck doesn't last forever. His only real offensive production against SF was in the way of DPI's and defenders slipping, leaving wide open receivers. Don't get me wrong, he's going to be serviceable but I think there is a mean that he will regress to. Let's not crown his ass yet, as much of sports media is doing.
@vagabond6614
@vagabond6614 4 месяца назад
I think that's underestimating it a bit though. For Love's very first time starting a full season and going through the growing pains he did to end with what he did, that's insanely impressive. His run was also not over just a few games, he played at minimum serviceable down the stretch during games against the Giants and Panthers, but the defense was pretty bad those games. On all the other games he was pretty unstoppable in most cases, with only a few unlucky bounces hindering his performances. His floor is mediocre as I don't think he'll hit the lows of this season all that consistently going forward, but his highs are definitely going strong. Some of Love's high risk throws were high-risk but hey, he's a gunslinger. Even Mahomes has throws like that. DPI's or not, for the most part, they were legit penalties and SF has to play better on that end. Love still has some growing to do, but when compared to the first full season of Rodgers and Farve, he's definitely more than serviceable.
@lanpar7647

Spot on! It appears we were too hasty in labeling certain players as 'greats.' The foremost attribute of a quarterback is the ability to execute and make the right decision swiftly. In the case of Jordan Love, there was evident panic on that last throw. If he enhances his decision-making skills in high-pressure situations then YES he can be great but these habits are hard to break. Developing composure and confidence when under duress is key to a quarterback's success. Consider Tom Brady, for instance. He may not have had the greatest mobility or arm strength, but his ability to remain focused under pressure and make exceptional decisions set him apart.

You can believe what you like, but 32 TD and 11 INT is in the top half if not top 10 of the whole NFL. Also 4,000 + yds. This was his first year starting. He is well on his way to becoming way above average. He will get better with more reps. Your take is foolish and negative. He outplayed Purdy on a way worse overall team. He outplayed Dak Prescott in the playoffs minus garbage time stats against 2nd teamers. You act like he did nothing exceptional. You are wrong.

@smashfanatic

Love played solid, and outplayed Purdy for the first 55 minutes of the game. His issue is that he threw two plays that were intercept-able, and both got picked. Purdy threw at least two of those kinds of throws and they got dropped. That was basically the difference in the game. That still doesn’t excuse that last throw though. Purdy’s mistakes were because he can’t throw a wet ball and he misread some coverages. Love’s last interception was a really dumb rookie mistake that even casual football fans know not to do. But again, Love is basically a de facto rookie, it’s not hard to assume he will learn from this. Whether he will follow Favre and Rodgers and become a HoF QB who brings a Super Bowl to GB remains to be seen, but if he builds upon what he did this season, he’ll be the packers QB for at least 10 years.

I saw a QB who was the best QB I may have ever seen playing through most of the playoffs up to the Tucker Kraft pick . On that , The following drive and the last crazy throw were proof of on of two things and there really is no other reality . #1 Jordan Love choked in a way that is completely and totally out of character from what we learned of Jordan over the season . If this is true is is one of the biggest chokes in NFL history by a guy who was playing MVP ball through the same game up to that point. He threw passes to no place across his body for the first time like that since he played High School after not throwing the ball on called shot plays that were covered all day long. Suddenly Jordan Love stopped being good and forgot how to throw on time and on target after 3 + quarters of very exceptional play and perfect mental awareness he shut it off and lost the game . Making less sense than it ever could in evaluation . Is he this bad in bigtime ball situations? OR #2 Someone who already determined the outcome of the game directed him to throw the game. That is what we just saw here today.
