Film Study: Will Jackson Powers-Johnson be able to transition to guard for the Las Vegas Raiders? 

Dont know why people are hating this, centers make a better transition to guard than tackles do. The raiders got the best center and one of the best linemen coming out of college✊💀

I think he played 5 games in college at guard , not like he has never played there.

Looked great at guard at senior bowl, part of why he had a first round grade. And if James goes down, well….

Andre James is very popular in the locker room and with AP they are just showing respect by calling him telling him Powers is a G but this off season they also added Whitehair who can play C, powers, & a UDFA so their transactions say you can't block Chis Jones

Obviously he can play guard it’s the same as center you just get your hands up even quicker cause your not snapping the ball and you’re pulled more

I was glad the Raiders took him before the Steelers. I think he's a great player, but I don't think short arms/possible issues with concussions is a good thing for him or the team. Any lineman, in-line Y, RB, etc will tell you in the trenches (esp in the run game), when you lose with your hands, the ol' facemask "buck" can help you re-establish your hands. I had this problem in college, prob played 1 concussion too long, & am beginning to pay for it at 35 years old. I'd hate to see that happen to anyone else.

Center position demands high IQ. So its not a big deal to let him learn the NFL as a Guard for a year or two first. He will be fine at either position.

If memory serves I believe JPJ is one of the only offensive linemen to be ejected for targeting 😂😂😂 dude is a beast he'll be just fine at gaurd

Andre Johnson is too small for center and gets manhandled! In pass protection..Ridiculous contract!

I think he will be but it's going to be such a waste. He can handle big defensive tackles with one arm and show some dynamic abilities at center. Some of those abilities will be completely wasted in guard
