Audi dealership in Slough starts off great..... then we get told that filming the 'underage' employees is illegal. Head of business comes to talk and seems to finally calm the situation down.
My feeling on this as I wouldn't personally want to be filmed if I was working for a car dealership or if I was a customer. If your objective was just to film cars I'd be more than happy with it. But clearly the primary goal is to get interactions. I remember when a company I worked for used video filming for mystery shops was tough. But having a customer 'video' sorry auditor video staff/customers is a difficult one for me. The lady at the start of the video said 'I hate being on camera' you completely ignored her.
That business manager was exceptional. 👍 Big thumbs up to him. 👍👍👍 This is the way that businesses should be run. The receptionist, too, was an asset to the company. Well done, ma'am. 👍 Great video, DJE Media. It certainly DOES help those of us that can't get about. 👍♥
Saying your dad was in the metropolitan police force really is not giving you any credibility when you see the 100s of officers are breaking the laws .
Just started watching your videos. Great content. It helps your watchers to know the good and bad dealers are when looking at buying a car Thanks keep the videos coming
i love how that guy said his dad was in the met, and is convinced he knows the law. my dad was a pilot but i know nothing about flying planes. i was at a football match with my kids and we were behind the goal when a goal was scored, not only were we seen by millions watching sky sports but later that night we were again seen on bbc's match of the day (never once were we asked for permission).
My dad was in the Met Police……….. ? my grand parents were doctors, my parents were doctors, my siblings are doctors, my children are doctors my friends are doctors, Only I am not a doctor will you come to me for medical advice??
the issue is you may film a customer or customers, cars on recovery trucks, complaining with a brand new broken Audi, just one bad refection video is lost sales I can see why they sometimes a bit objective
10:35 Where do they "learn" this nonsense? I mean, it seems like he really believes what he's saying, or he's the world's greatest bullschitter. How can someone be so obviously wrong about their very own rights? Or does he really think that when he's in public he has to put away his camera when a "child" walks into the frame? Because a "minor" 12:54 seems to be in charge. How absolutely daft.
Maybe it should be called VIDAC cause it’s never photos 😂, Also his ( salesman ) 14:45 argument is irrelevant regarding age as the staff are all over 18 anyway lol he made it up,, I actually really enjoy these dealership interactions 🍿👍🏼
Great audit, DJ it's great hearing the difference of opinions from the managers and yourself. I can see both sides. Filming the cars is definitely an advantage for the people who have mobility cars. Maybe you can incorporate the mobility cars available in each dealership. That would be beneficial to the disabled audience who can't get in showrooms for different reasons. Most mobility people choose their car online. Take one visit to the showroom to make the purchase. Filming cars in general in the showrooms has to be a positive for sales 👍👍
The car in suit, expert in sales ! Knows when he can promote Audi and takes the opportunity. Needs to teach the lady in red jacket how to interact with public, not to walk off when someone is talking to you. The senior manager had to apologize on her behalf. Guy in suit credit to Audi, superb !!
They were fine there, I think the girl in the red top was just a bit camera shy which is why she walked away, don't think she was being intentionally rude at all, some people just dont like being on camera! Business manager was very good, gave off a very calm relaxing Aura! Nice Motors as well love that pale green/blue colour whatever it is called?
The man who mattered was great, the ones that didn't matter were ridiculous. Nice Video DJE. Just a question, when you say your name is DJ do you not think that they may get you mixed up with the other DJ, and therefore watch the videos that aren't yours?
Haha the main man was great.. That's a good point but I didn't give the channel to these guys. My initials are DJ. But yeah I could just give a 1st name
You do need consent because when my kids wanna play football I have to give consent when they go swimming with the school I have to give consent. It’s to protect them from getting sued from strange people taking pictures of them.
@@lee32uk Then surely an employer has a duty of care to kids 16 and under, a child is entitled to do a little job from the age of 13 so I would assume an employer would have the same duty of care as a school.
@@user-ze9gq6ul1c That duty of care isn't relevant to a member of the public filming though, unless that person works for the actual company/school etc. The Car showroom could have asked him to leave if they didn't want filming, same with any other business. If you walk round a shopping centre doing a vlog you don't have to get permission from every single person.
@@lee32uk Correct and I agree 💯 with you the person filming does not have any duty of care (hopefully someday they will be responsible) until then he actually was asked to leave he felt it was rube because she walked away but sure isint that what we are supposed to do you don’t wanna be on camera walk away. If I was a professional person wanting to do a professional review on a garage I would abide not only by the law but also in just common decency that is recognised here because if there had of been a 15 year old working there he would have filmed them as he has done on at least 7 of his past videos after saying he would turn the camera away.
@@user-ze9gq6ul1c You can film anyone regardless of age though as long as you are doing it legally. So you could walk past a primary school and any children caught on camera would just be classed as incidental inclusion. If you entered the school grounds and started following kids around, then that would be different.
‘You can trust me ‘cos my dad worked for the MET’ Great recommendation!!! He still needs to get the correct information on the law regarding photography and children. Poor reaction from some staff. Leaves me with no confidence in this company.
Receptionist was my favourite person on this... Only one that was rude was the woman in red, no need for that. If you went to Alton towers filming and caught children on camera, is that illegal? I don't think so lol
I love Audi and agree it’s nice to see you showing the cars, the staff were really friendly but the manager is a rude ignorant woman and bringing the children thing into it is on another level of pathetic, I definitely won’t be going to that guarage and that gut with the glasses was chatting pure rubbish
Good audit video upload that bloke did not have a clue about filming same as that women in red very ignorant just walking of while you was trying to talk to her some people I don't no ay
Is it illegal to take a picture of a child in the UK? In short, no. However, the longer answer to this is much more complicated and, in most instances, is entirely context dependent. It is legal to take public photographs that feature children, and permission is not required (from the parents of the children in this case). It can be said that there is no reasonable expectation of privacy in a public space, which means that others cannot expect to be free from all forms of photography. However, that is not to say that taking photos without consent is typically welcomed. Taking ‘targeted’ photography of another person could amount to harassment, and if photographs are taken where a person could reasonably expect privacy (such as in their home or garden), this is likely to breach privacy laws. While it is not illegal to take pictures of minors without permission in the UK, it is an extremely serious crime to take and possess indecent photographs of children - whether they are taken in a public or private setting.
SO YOU THOUGHT BECAUSE YOU ARE SO HIGH AND MIGHTY YOU THOUGHT YOU WOULD WASTE YOUR OWN TIME AND WATCH THE VIDEO AND WASTE EVEN MORE OF YOUR SUPERIOR TIME TO MAKE POINTLESS COMMENTS.
Top Head of Business, I'd buy a car here because he was so nice, professional and pleasant, and the receptionist was lovely. That Manager should have been more polite rather than shutting you down like a poor police man.
My dad was in the Met....bet he's chuffed with the pot handle holes you have in your ear lobes! Do people actually engage with him to buy a car? I wouldn't!
Lady in red is a manager….wow. She needs training on how to approach and deal with the public politely. Walking away from someone when they have asked politely if they can ask a question is completely unacceptable and just plain rude!!! Could be worse tho she could be a copper! Boss man was a gent
I love it. “ what lead you to do this then, dealerships?” “ well no one else is doing it and car dealerships are easy to find, so I can make loads of vids and make loads of money” “ At least you’re honest, and obviously don’t need to even feign integrity by appearing to be interested in the subject. I suppose this is why the videos lack information and are fickle and pointless.
Why dont you go into dealerships with a premise to buy a car instead of trying to trip people up for your film?.....oh your not interested in their customer service , you just want to get everyone arguing dont you?
No. The only person trying to start an argument is yourself. You're clearly one of those that goes looking for trouble. Hence why you assume everyone else is doing the same.
