Damn, I loved every bit of this and have a new way I want to film my own rowing doc I’m working on.

Just watched the film last night with my boys…..they are both budding athletes and I’m sure your film has inspired them on their journey. Well done……it was the Rocky of modern times and Mondo is still very young on his journey so another film may be required in 10 years…… Maybe my boys by then will be in the film……..;-)

Fix a GoPro Max 360 cam on the end of a vaulting pole. Follow Mondo from ground to apex of his jump. Sort of like your gimbal on a ladder idea, but you'll get broader range of angles. Cool thing about 360 cameras is that you don't have to aim, and you can frame your shot the way you want after you take it. Kudos on your project so far. I haven't delved into all your videos, but for the documentary you need to address the key question : What sets Mondo apart from everyone else? in terms of physics, is Mondo the fastest guy on the runway ever ? running faster than Bubka did ? How about equipment ? are the poles of today more energy efficient than those of Bubka's day?

How about strapping on a Go Pro on his forehead and see what he sees exactly as he runs down the track, plants the pole and all the rest….that would be something to see!
