For the price, Filmora offers a tonne of features at 1/4 the price of Camtasia therefore, I'd recommend Filmora over Camtasia unless you're creating SCORM content.

Camtasia is quite expensive and doesn't offer good value for its price. It only includes basic video editing tools and options.

Hi David - Can I ask when you recorded this as it seems to be $50 now? Be nice at $30/year. Do they often reduce it?

Hi Ian, I recorded this today morning at around 2AM. It was a strange occurence for me to find it at $29.99/yr and I actually made a post on the community tab about the pricing. The normal price with a slight discount is normally $49.99/yr and that's still a MASSIVE deal compared to what Camtasia 2024 is offering.

@@David_Mbugua Thanks David. I use Camtasia but have stuck at 2022 as the upgrades didn't offer much value. Quite happy with it for what I do although a few extras would be nice. Wondering if they have offers like this often.

I'm still using Camtasia 2020 for all my screen recording needs. :) I'm not sure why I'm getting the $29.99 offer but I guess it's country specific. That's the only conclusion I'd come up with but normally the Cross-Platform Annual Plan is $69.99 but discounted at $49.99/yr which is a great deal for all the extras you get. Thanks!
