I arrived at the Holy Monastery of Filotheou. The imposing colored tower and the spectacular view magnetize you at first glance. In this historic monastery lived the great Saint Kosmas Aitolos before he began his sermons throughout enslaved Greece. Another modern-day sanctuary form Elder Ephraim also left here to go to Arizona, where he has founded about 50 Orthodox monasteries. After my overnight stay and all the "typical" of Mount Athos hospitality, I take the path to Arsana and head to my next destination.
