When you need to create your own filter function, here's a rather complicated one. I go through a lot of struggle in this one just to wrap my head around the problem. But in the end, there is a solution.

This was a great help in understanding my problem with my filter, but then I wanted to expand it and came to a wall of confusion. The use of "use text first, then insert your filter" made it so much easier to figure out what goes where first. It's sort of like "Find The Truth" 's question, I am making a sheet for a rhythm game to filter levels. I want to have them be able to select as many checkboxes corresponding to the levels (10-18) they want to see. I'm a bit stuck where to proceed. In the 2 box one, you can do TRUE TRUE; TRUE FALSE; FALSE TRUE; FALSE FALSE, and have it show with text like in your example, but with 10 combinations, it overwhelmed me immediately. Assuming B1:B10 are the checkboxes, and A1:A10 are the data points (10, 11, 12, 13....etc.etc.), how would I proceed with making the IF parade?

I don't know if this is helpful but perhaps you might want to use something other than IF(). SWITCH() is a good alternative: bettersheets.co/formulas/switch

I need to add more types, such as 1-15. How do I expand this formula? I'm confused about the {} area. When I expand but only select the first two types, it's filtered. When I unchecked it, all details were displayed. But from the third one to below, when I checked, it wasn't filtered, individually checked that it was filtered.

You are amazing and many thanks for this useful and fruitful video. But, for the Toyata and Nissan, they were just two examples. How about having so many names of brand cars? Then, we need to have a lot of chick-boxes. So, we need to have a filter to choose multiple cars rather than having check-boxes for each of them (In case if we have Nissan, Toyota, Mercedes, Navara, Gland...etc. (100 Type cars)). It takes a lot of time to make check-boxes for each of them as well as the database will be so crowded.

Yes, you are right. How many do you want someone to choose? You can replace the name of the type next to the checkbox with a dropdown menu with the range of the car type on the other page.
