Dad is not a person but he is an emotion. Moms are on stage actors while dads are the behind the screen artist. All the applause normally goes to mom. May be because she suffered that much pain to have a kid. But think of a dad, imagine the situations that he should be going through to feed his family and protect them. I know sleepless nights of my dad doing overtime in his company just to make sure no needs of mine are compromised. After 32 years of hard working now he is at home but his body is no more good. He is a heart patient. He never cared about him, all he did was doing risky works to feed us. Now I am looking for a job so that I can make him feel better in his difficult times. I love you dad......

This is actually so accurate. Cuz that's exactly how it would feel. Blank at first, not knowing what to do, lost and trying to avoid the emotional side of you. But when he was making tea, it all hit him like a rollercoaster, the memories of his father and him. I would probably feel the same way

I don't remember memories with my father in my brain but my relatives and photos tells me that how good the memories were. I lost my father when i was 3 year's old but now i m 15 and my mom don't let me feel lack of anything she's both for me my *mom & dad*.

We don't be as friendly with dads as we are with our moms & the only reason is that we think they are rude and scold us sometimes. Well I feel they are not really like that. You know what, just try to be as open with your dads as you are with your moms. I am 100% sure, you'll see him more happy and smiling. Because I've done that. Don't ignore your fathers. The scene with how he spends time with his friends instead, is the ignorance of having called back or inquired about anything. The scene in the car is a plain projection of traveling through time and thoughts, visiting memories. The scene of the phone call is still keeping mind away from emotions and accepting reality but when he is asked how he feels, the walls he's built around his heart start crumbling down. The scene of the aunty is a plain highlight of how people project emotions but actually are barely bothered. The realization of truth, acceptance of the loss and the grief of "I wish.." is the break point. The phone call, is just verbalization. Want the call to be picked knowing that it's not possible, yet hoping that maybe somehow the voice will reach the void. Someone just tell him... I love him.
