Hope everyone is shredding this track on 11 so Eddie can hear all the influence he left in our rocker hearts. At least he left all the musical genius behind for us to continue to play at our venues and shows. Never will a crowd be silent when the first note of a Van Halen song is played. R.I.P to the innovator and arguably greatest guitar player of all time.
I love how you're able to evoke the classic Van Halen sound without coming off as obviously derivative. This is a GREAT track. Not just to play with, but to just listen to.
Nice backing track. RIP EDDIE. We well love and miss you man and I’m hope your in heaven playing with all the greats man you healed me want to play guitar and you kept on smiling even if you had cancer so keep on moving...
This could have been on the next Van Halen album. Oh, what might have been. Rest well, Edward. We all miss you so much. But alas.... Edward Van Halen will live forever!
I agree ,great job on the track ,And the taping at the end sparked up the ears of Us that aren't at the level but are fighting that ax daily to someday achieve what we hear in our heads and can't play through our fingers. That harmonic slap was the best .cheers to you for that track, And Eddie can you hear us now .
Duuuuude.... this is FUN. I was channeling some hybrid of Phil Collen from Def Lep tainted with a little Adrian Smith / Dave Murray from Maiden and every so often dropped a little Warren Di Martini lick in there and it sounded AWESOME. This is a banger as the kids say. Very very fun to solo over!
See what steps (whole steps, half steps ect) the progression goes in, then is it major or minor. I can typically tell right off the bat, it's major, it's in b, ok is it lydian ect? Probably Ionian fits it just fine. Then employ the different aspects of what you like with scales, modes, chords, pooping on the floor and mashing your guitar down on it, what ever your ears enjoy!
Right now, I'm currently practicing basically aeolian but with multiple sweep patterns for the chords in the progression. Just play play play and keep it fun and basic, then it starts building up with proper practice
For me, I pick one string, and solo from it, then stretch that to all them strings, for this one, play only on A string, then move it to the fifth fret
Hell yeah, a backing track you can sink your teeth into and it just keeps going!! The neighbors love me now🤘😎🎸🌴. Thanks for posting dude. Love the title...filthy!!!😂
Please, I'm so frustrated, can anyone explain me what are those numbers and letters on screen? I'm a self-taught player, and I love to improvise, but in every backing track video, there are those things, and i can't get the right notes. Please, help ;( thx
"filthy" lol...I love it. Bro your tracks are smooth as silk, ty for sharing so much. But admittedly there are times when I jam out then skip your solo cuz I know it will make me not want to play anymore today (cuz your solos are very well written haha and I am a hardcore noodler!) I love it tho, thank you...and I don't ALWAYS skip em haha just sometimes...so I can feel like the rockstar.
