The Fimi Navi Mini App and the Fimi Mini 3, get even more updates.
At least I see Fimi trying to reach out. It is confusing as to what they seem to address but hey... we've learned that no matter what... we have no influence!
Just a quick little video to keep up to date as much as possible. The Fimi Mini 3 is really quite good for the price point. Too bad the range is very limiting. We know it has their new "SoLink" transmission protocol (same as on the X8 Tele) but ... Wowzers!! ... it's pretty bad.

As long a Fimi sticks with the same transmission protocols (some weird encrypted frequency) this little beauty will fail in any kind of range test.

Yeah mine says mini 4 pro when powered on and now it's got 45 min flight time ???!!!😅 And obstacle avoidance all out of nowhere

Some old mobile phones are not powerful enough to software decoding the live preview stream, so they offer the hardware decoder option with GPU(which may have some compatible issue for different chips, so it's suitable for users to choose better decoding option).

I still don't understand how to use flight records -- but what do you advise to do screen recording? Having made some videos of the very same flight route in the same conditions I was surprised to see that h264 and HEVC videos of the same resolution and same qualitiy are the same size. H264 and HEVC results is the very same size videos... Howcome???

Most phones and tablets have a built in screen recorder (swipe up or down). I use a 3rd party one called "Due-Recorder" (a very early version - its on the TX10 Controller FB group files) The Flight records show all your flights and can be played back like a video. I will make a short video on it soon if you like. As for H264/h265.. I cant explain it. It is supposed to be about 30% more compression or even more. 🤷‍♂

@@GorillamansGarage Thanks! I've never recorded my screen content. :) But now I've made just a pair of H264/H265 clip. The same 30 sec circle and H265 is marginally LARGER... (4K@30, High - H264: 11,3 MB/s, HEVC: 11,4 MB/s). Weird...

Truthfully... I dont take many photos. I get stills from video. I found any photos from Fimi drones not to be the greatest. They look good... just not great. I will be taking the FM3 up again tomorrow so I will remember to take a bunch of 48's.

@@GorillamansGarage Thank you for your quick response. Let's be honest, I didn't expect miracles from this drone, but there is no tragedy. I discovered this inconvenience by accident, because I prefer 16:9 photos. I suspect that the processor cannot handle processing photos in higher resolutions due to quad-bayer. Generally, I am very happy with this drone, the only thing that annoys me to the max is quick shots in full hd.

After this update, my drone only works at photo mode function!! When I switch to video mode, the app crash... the last camera's image still freeze and dont update the fpv anymore.. and then, i try to return to photo mode and still crash and freeze the last image.. This last firmware limite my drone to a camera photomode!!! I made contact with FIMI and then they return with the last firmware add on email and all the steps to do. I try but uncessfull, nothing work and my drone keep without work in video mode!! I send another email ask for my Warranty, and they do not return at all.... still waiting!!!

@@martinsimoveisbertioga start by uninstalling the app. Turn phone off. Restart. Download new App and install.

@@martinsimoveisbertioga : The onloy other thing I can think of is the cable. I tried the new cable that came with the craft on the new V2 I got and it kept freezing up the App.. I went back to an old cable I had.. and it worked?? Other than that.. I'm out of ideas for now. You say you have done the re-fresh sd card bios update method... and there was no crash and it only happened after an update??? I'm puzzled.

The App updates are for both but nothing for the craft yet. But I still like that 1/2.5 camera as well.
