Even when I know the outcome of this game, I still get nervous! AJ knew the offense wasnt up to far this game and when we needed it the most AJ took us home! The emotion was from all BAMA Fans not just AJ! The sheer passion of being an Alabama fan, there's nothing like it! Roll Tide Roll!
This is why I respect Alabama so much. They work so hard and every game means everything to them. You see that on McCarron's face at the end of this game. What an incredible guy he is. So humble. I have nothing but respect for him and Nick Saban's dynasty. Talk about doing it the right way.
If you are a Bama fan, go to 11:45 and listen to Verne set up the final drive. That is masterful work by the weathered and wise Lundquist. If your season turns out the way many predict that it will, that buildup to the final drive should live as the catalyst to the National Championship. Remember though, the road to Miami goes through Atlanta and the Georgia Bulldogs. I only have one insight on the SEC championship game. You play to win the game and on any given saturday anyone can.... Go Dawgs!
ROLL TIDE!!!!! This was a good game to watch. Kept everyone on the edge of thier seats. That's why SEC football and college football as a whole is the best of them all.. Great video.
You comment about AJ is way out of LINE! If you had accomplished what AJ did for Bama, your emotions would have been strong and deep. AJ's name will be a part of Bama's long and glorious gridiron tradition for for the ages. Truly, one of the greatest quarterbacks ever for Alabama.
DanelDeuche and Vern are the biggest apologists for Alabama opponents. I have watched every game of the Saban era multiple times and these two jokers are 100 plus and 6 against Bama. Thank God for Eli Gold
AJ came though in the clutch. That is why Alabama won this game and part of the reason the Tide repeated as National Champs. Way to go and Roll Tide!!!
Saban and Aj man. Miss those days. I'm sure we will see another Mccarron before it's over with. He's got 2 boys and I'd put my money on one of them playing at BAMA one day
I love McCarron but I think Norwood and Yeldon deserve the credit for winning the game...Did you see how many players tried to tackle Yeldon but he got through every one..This is why I love Alabama football!! Roll Tide Till The Day I Die!!!!
I still don't understand why they showed Patrick Peterson's interception (which I'm also pretty sure happened in the 3rd quarter) over Julio Jones' screen pass for a long touchdown at the beginning of the video.
They never give up. Not sure what happened against A&M but Alabama doesn't quit. Not every team has or will have their depth but they can all take notes on not giving up.
Best game of my life as a Bama fan. Ive seen Tyler Watts, Brodie Croyle, JP Wilson all fuck up in crunch time. Its like your waiting for AJ to fumble or some dumb shit but he came through RTR.
Two points: 1) I would contest that "no other traditional NCAA football powers claim any titles prior to 1950". Notre Dame claims 7 prior to 1950. 2) National Titles haven't been consensus until recently. I'm a PROUD Bama alum. I will, however concede that two of the 14 NCs are tough to justify - '41 (lost 2 SEC games) and '73 (lost epic game to ND in the Sugar Bowl). That said we were completely screwed out of the '66 and '77 NCs (media voted for ND). THANK GOD a playoff is coming.
That defense bailed us out. This game should have never came down to a last second drive. We were up 14-3 at the half. Running, throwing , mixing it up and went into a fricking shell the 2nd half. Until the last drive we had attempted SEVEN passes in the 2nd half. This game should have been 31-17 or something. AJ got turned loose on the last drive and LSU was toast. Had we kept the foot on the gas this game isn't close.
I don't think Saban is going to leave Bama. He has the best coaching job in the country, winning national titles, and has total control. Plus the fact, Terri, his wife, loves Tuscaloosa.
As Verne Lundquist said-- WOW! Remember this game like it was yesterday. Totally outplayed by LSU, yet these guys dug deep. 'Ole Reliable, Kevin Norwood, AJ and my favorite player, TJ Yeldon. So jonesing for the season to start!!! RTR!!!
Amazing game......have to say, as a Bama fan I accepted defeat when Beckham made that catch. LSU outplayed us and played their best game of the year, and yet, miraculously we won...somehow.
Thanks for posting this....Was on edge the whole game and was in panic mode up until the final drive. LOL @ blake sims telling the LSU fans to suck it. Roll Tide!!!
I completely agree... I think that this 4 game play off is just a step - I think we need a minimum of 8 teams - but truly I'd love to see a 16 team play-off. Although at that point I think you have to do some adjustments to the season and/or conferences. Frankly, I don't why there are 120 plus D1 schools - half of them will never even sniff a national title.
LSU had this game circled on their calendar since that shutout loss to Alabama 21-0 in the BCS title game. They wanted revenge, but Alabama came through in the end.
As a tiger fan it was disappointing to see the offense just collapse in those last seconds. But I'm tired of all the Bama fans acting like they dominated us in this game. It was a well squared, well fought game, and the better more prepared team did prevail in this one. Congrats to Bama, but thats the great the about a rivalry, theres always next year.
I was worried about A&M after I saw them give LSU and Florida fits. Even more so after this game. I knew we'd be physically and emotionally spent -- even still, we had a chance to win it at the end. Hopefully we'll get them at Kyle Field in the Fall.
Bart Starr never won a national title at Alabama. Gary got that dead wrong and I've been a diehard Alabama fan for years and know the answer to that one. As far as this game, I think Alabama and LSU fans will agree, it was one heck of a game. I think bammybound is right. That game will be remembered as "The Death Valley Drive".
even tho we won the fact the clock at 13secs stopped instead of running when hill didnt get out still pisses me off the refs were giving them time they didnt have
Except for their unbeaten season that they won it, Bama always seems to have one brain fart during the other three runs. It always seems to happen in a close game against a very good team so they don't drop far. It probably is a blessing in disguise since after the one lose they have they seem to blow everyone out after that game. Maybe a wake up call. The 09 season that they lost 3 games including that fluke against Auburn, they would have beaten Oregon or UA if they had played them. Semper Fi
Oh I didn't think you were dissing BAMA -- it's a good question really, I've always hated that we claim '41... ' There are so many years were multiple teams could claim a National Title.. hopefully the Playoff will settle things a bit more... and expand to more than 4 teams.. .and TOTALLY agree on the conference comment (looking at you Notre Dame)... I am looking forward to it. Good luck to you too. UGA DAWGS I presume? That was a hell of an SEC championship
You got to be kidding me? Should we talk about that ass whooping Alabama put on LSU in the national championship game! They couldn't even cross the 50 yard line!
Lashawn Bulger I think she was specifically referring to Blake leading Alabama to a similar comeback against LSU. But you’re right, even without a title he had a great year.
Actually, that game gave me more peace then anything this season. To know that LSU outplayed Bama in every aspect of the game. Made them look bad in fact. But football is a game of luck sometimes. Geaux Tigers.
I miss the screen pass these days with kiffin. And I'm not talking about a bubble screen. When the defense blitzs like on tj's td, the screen was the perfect play call
I agree partially with Reggie in that LSU was outcoached. Les attempted some questionable plays. Also, I totally disagree with prevent defense, and feel if LSU had continued to play aggressively on Bama's last drive, then the outcome probably would have been different. Georgia could have very easily beat Bama because of prevent by Bama on Georgia's last drive in the SEC Championship game.
When your in a cover 3 or 4 that is true too if the QB is holding the ball forever and he wasn't. The linemen got blown up before the clock went off in the QB's head. He hadn't even gone through all of his progressions yet and he should of had time to go down field, Guarantee the O' line got their asses chewed in the film room for letting the last play get blown up like that. Can't take anything away from Bama though. Semper Fi
Not backwards, just nonexistent. LSU is 2-1 against Bama at Mobile, but Alabama owns the record at Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, Montgomery, New Orleans, and Baton Rouge (at which they hold a 25-9 record)
Thanks so much for this video. I'd like to have some feedback here. On the LSU drive that led to a failed field goal and then our winning drive, I didn't even see illegal procedure on LSU's part on the play that led to a fumble that would have given us the ball and two plus minutes. I've seen that official before (Kentucky dude) and he stinks to me. What say anyone?
Pretty pathetic when Bama is rushing three, dropping eight and sack the QB on the last play. This has been a great game for the last 4 or 5 yrs. Except the BCS game in 2012. Semper Fi
LSU fan but i knew that we wouldnt win. LSU was absolutely pathetic on offense all year. Miles of course made stupid ass decisions like he always does to give the game away. Good game and I have no bad blood about this loss. It was simply given away.
Hey, can't win um all. Your eventually gonna lose. A&M is a great team with a FANTASTIC QB! Gotta give um props. Love to see A&M play the GAYMOOSE'S Condoms of USC.
my only prob. with only confer. champs in NT play offs is if you are going to say that then no independents should be in the playoffs because they are in no conference, they dont have to beat anyone in conference or confer. championship game
