Still can’t believe people just rolled over on this. there is no excuse for 360/ps3/3ds/wiiU stores or online to shut down, it is simple greed from these companies and I’m not sure how people can even feel safe investing in these platforms now.
Bought the 360 when it first came out. Lady had an unopened one for sale on local Craigslist. She got it as a company gift. 200$ if I recall. Daughter played it and killed a lot of zombies and plants. She was unaware of the "join the group" stuff that violated the Microsoft account terms and conditions. I don't play myself nowadays. Caveman controller skills. Pong I could do and A Contra warrior I became a score or more after that. Physical Media is good to have if the Internet goes down and you already read the Foxfire books a few times. More of a steering wheel foot pedal gun and flight controller type of caveman here. Times have changed for how you steer and shoot stuff nowadays. Yougunns wouldn't know how to shoot a duck or catch a fish. Much less cooking it. Don't make me get into the muzzleloaders and column shifting. Stay safe and vigilant. Raise the chicken right.
Resource scarcity and an obsolete unsupported framework. That’s why. I dont want these stores to go down either mind you but reality exists and we all live in it.
Not to forget original Xbox games that are available digitally on the 360 that are not backwards compatible on the Xbox one and are more expensive physically
I wound up uninstalling some of the games I had previously installed that I had physical media for to make space on the local hard drive. It's worth checking out what's still available on the store as I was surprised at how much DLC options were available for some of my owned games that I never realised existed.
@littleblackcat2273 You don't want to lose access to some of those DLC. I mostly am going to focus on DLC that contains achievements with them and the ones that people say are absolutely necessary.
In my experience, that R2D2 Xbox 360 is the coolest version of the console except for one thing: It is not Halo friendly. Certain Halo: Reach maps will not load and the Master Chief mash up for Minecraft does not work. I have to use my Halo 3 edition Xbox in order to play Halo games. 🤔

I went a-z yesterday and downloaded all of the free games i could find. My favorite is probably the Forza sim games for single player fun. No one really did split screen with me much. for family fun it was all of the guitar hero and rock band titles, Halo and borderlands.
Thanks for the sub! Those are all great games to play regardless of single player or multiplayer. They don't make them like they used to. My go to's for single player was GUN, Fable II, and Mass Effect Trilogy. For family/multiplayer they were Guitar Hero III, Halo 3, Gears 2, and CoD MW2.
I just spent almost 100$ cad to buy so many games on sales. I know I could get a modded xbox 360 but I still want my achievements and to use my profile. I also don't want to risk getting banned by microsoft and losing everything I have on my profile.
@FlyJonat Those are very valid reasons to do what you're doing. Don't let anyone tell you how to spend your money or the means to enjoy your collection. Modded Consoles are definitely a great way to go but there is nothing wrong with doing things legit.
I think you can enter your Credit Card or Paypal by going to the 360 Marketplace Store on a browser. I also heard of people using Gift Cards as a way to purchase games on the 360.
@@darthkobe73 interesting, I tried the gift card on the Microsoft website but it’s not letting me purchase it, I’m getting an authorization error PUR-TransactionNotAllowed. Strange, my card isn’t under fraud either. I’ll keep trying

@bramvandenbroeck5060 In theory you should be able to do that. All of the services will continue to function as is. The only thing that is shutting down is the Xbox 360 Storefront. Cloud Saves and accessing your previously purchased/cross bought content shall continue as is.
Yes. I just bought Dragon Age Origins on the new Xbox online store since the game was on sale for $1.50. After paying for it, I turned on my 360 and went to account settings, download history and found it at the top of the list. I'm going to buy another backwards compatible game on Monday to see if it still works.
My ONLY question is can I still buy: Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas and the Silent Hill HD collection on my Xbox Series X after the closure?!
@BienSwinginbase If you have the means to do it, you should. It's nice to experience Nostalgia every now and again. It's also nice to go back to simpler times.
I put a large USB flash drive in the back of my 360. You can transfer full games onto it as long as the game is under 4GB in space. Great way to throw all your smaller Arcade type games onto it and leave your main Hard drive for the big install games. For example, Rage is 20+ GB to install! Leave that for the hard drive lol.
@@WartHawg8196 They just say ON July 29th. They didn't give out a specific time they're going to sunset the Xbox 360 Store. I'd assume July 28th is the last day to make any final purchases.
I bought the DLC for the following games I own physically: BulletWitch, Anarchy Reigns, Brink, Remember Me, Dance Central, and Dance Central. I also bought a handful of discounted X360 games [Will buy some more after I wake up later on today]. My Xbox 360 Slim still connects to my wifi with no issues. I wish everything on the X360 Marketplace was discounted 🙁.
Hell Yeah! Have fun and good luck! Also, don't feel like you have to buy any of these games because of FOMO. There is nothing wrong on building a collection of games that you actually WANT to play. I don't see the point in spending $50 on Fist of the North Star if I know that I'm not going to play it.

@eg8593 You do realize that not everything is available physically? Also DLC will be gone after the store closes. Not every game had a Game of The Year, Ultimate, Gold, Deluxe Editions that contained DLC.
If I download a BC title on Series X after July 29th will I be able to download it on 360 via download history or will it not appear? Also sweet R2D2 Xbox! I have a Special Edition White 360 Slim!
@gcm2573 You still should be able to do that. I've purchased games on my Series X that are BC Titles and they show up on that list of downloads on my 360. They are linked by accounts. Everything on your 360 will continue to work as usual except the storefront. Thanks, it's my favorite Special Edition Console. I don't think I've seen that version of the 360 before.
@@TheRoyceReports Thank you so much! Yeah not a lot of people know that Microsoft made a glossy white 360 slim! My favorite thing is it looks brand new despite being all scratched up because it hides the scratches! I cleaned it up and put new thermal paste in it and dropped a 500gb hdd in it from my previous Xbox 360 slim. Now I hope to acquire a halo 3 original 360 with the original hdd and controller and jasper motherboard swap for reliability purposes! Thanks again!

@@TheRoyceReports haha yeah! I broke many small electronics before I was able to fix them. Definitely rewarding when you fix your first thing. Broke a ton of PlayStation portables before I said “that’s too small let’s try something with more space to work on” and I ended up with a PS3 as my first major project! Now I got the entire 6th and 7th gen consoles besides the Dreamcast and Wii! Eventually I’ll work my way down into the classic systems!
It's a gaming chair from Haworth. They design mostly office chairs and this is apart of their "gaming" line. I got it because I do a lot of work from home and I needed a good chair because I have back and neck issues. It's a pretty pricey chair. I picked it up when they were doing a deep sale on it.

Guys fr just mod your console. It takes like 2 hours and you’ll be able to get all these games for free even after the store closes. Don’t mad dash buy and spend all your money
@@EggEnjoyer This is true! You can save thousands by doing this. This video is definitely more geared towards people who prefer the more "authentic" way of collecting. Not to knock the modded console community because it definitely is a great way to preserve all these games that are being delisted.

@@TheRoyceReports I know. It's all for profit. It's not as if these sellers have or can create multiple copies. However, people like these are going to wind up holding the game for a long time with those price tags.
360 has been dead to me years ago. Therefore I let go of it. Still it was such an amazing system. Countless hours been online playing call of duty games online. Great memories. Great moments.
@ignacio633 I still use mine on occasion. I mostly play on my Series X. The amount of memories and friends made during that era is going to stick with me forever. RIP to a great console.

@Glitcher01 That will definitely allow people to circumvaigate a lot of these issues. Just depends on the person and how they prefer to experience classic games.
@@shaggymcdaniel3216 I am sitting on the chair as naturally as I can. The Xbox Logo is off to the side of the headrest where I wouldn't put my head anyway. I never thought of trying to position myself in a way to show off the chair. I wish I was being sponsored.
