Please observe that many Americans can't understand people who speak as quickly as is normal in England, Australia, and other Commonwealth countries.. Our speech rate is far, far slower than in other countries (an exaggeration but basically true). My low IQ reinforces this problem but I do wish English-speakers from countries outside the States would take these varying rates (and far different pronunciations) into consideration. Thanks.
Hi Ben; I always enjoy your helpful videos. My question is this: is there a way with a title to make the first line enter from the right as the second line is coming in from the from the left (or vise versa)? I usually use 'Custom' title and if I use the X position, choosing word, both lines move together rather than from opposite directions, which is what I want. Thanks for any help that you might give!
The licensing for this pack is a massive headache, are you aloud to use this for a paid gig? For ex, a client of mine wants a infomercial am I aloud to use these titles?
ThisGalReviews sorry! That is the design for all my thumbnails! Hope you found something useful in there though. I can do a block type tutorial soon though!
@Magic11 to get the text as a block like this select each line at a time and max it out. Then use line spacing to pull it close to the previous line. Also make sure it it fully justified and that will help create the 'block' effect.
Hey Rachel, which caption are you adding? The basic text or another text effect? Is it different to the one I am using? Let me know and I will create a new tutorial. Also you might like to check out my full intro to Final Cut Pro X here on Skillshare - skl.sh/2N2wbzB - it runs through everything you need to know at an easy to follow pace. Thanks for watching!
Hi Ben, this is useful, but I think that the big issue is title placement and a source of grid lines. Within Final Cut (as distinct from Motion), one of the benefits of Ripple Training's latest version of Callouts is that it includes grid lines that can be used in other contexts by surpressing every element except the grid.
I just took a look at those. They look great. I try to focus my tutorials on what can be done inside Final Cut Pro X. I guess I've chosen this approach so that everyone starting out with FCPX can follow along. I plan to create a tutorial on how to make a callout for FCPX using Apple Motion at some point in the future.
I understand. I appreciate this video and will be watching for your follow-up. But if one wants to line up text, grid lines are essential (unless you know how to do it without them). For whatever reason, Final Cut does not include grid lines. It would be very easy to implement, but they are just not there.
2 questions: what setup do you recommend for creating a lyrics video? something with movement, but not too crazy would be nice. just enough to keep attention. 2. how can I add a background color layer behind text to make it more visible (like for captions)?
This tutorial may help - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XRF3pHgrtQ0.html . I haven't made too many lyrics videos. Do you have a particular style you've seen that you like?
Thanks Ben. I'm just starting in FCP X and it's never occurred to me to use a basic title and then smarten it up. Any time you want to tackle Titles in Motion fro Dummies, I'll be there! :-)
Thanks for watching. Here are a couple of videos you might enjoy - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CJbdIdfH1o0.html - covers the creation of an animated title in Apple Motion for FCPX. And if you want to animate in Final Cut Pro X then this might be a good one to watch - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-enNxdv_-MuY.html - it uses a free plugin to create a title along with some animation tips in Final Cut Pro X. Hope these are useful.
These short tutorials about selected design elements are so much more helpful than a two hour long video on all available features. It also allows me to pause the tutorial on my phone and immediately practice what I’ve just learned. Thank you.
You are welcome Michael. Hope you find lots of other useful videos on the channel... This is a fun one to try - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zewA2kGD2R4.html
