FINAL DESTINATION 3 (2006) *REACTION* GET US OFF THE COASTER!!! (MOVIE COMMENTARY) 

This is my favorite one out of all of them. I saw this with my dad in theaters and I can honestly say years later I am still traumatized by the tanning scene. 😂

This one is my favorite because Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s acting feels so real in it. It genuinely gives me chills when she’s crying out after her first premonition.

The tanning bed death has to be probably the top three worst final destination death traps I’ve seen to date . I won’t go in a tanning bed because of this movie.

This movie LEGITIMATELY scarred me from doing ANY extreme heightened roller coasters, I just cannot do them anymore because of this terrifying movie!! 😢😩😫

Whenever someone asks me why I don't trust tanning beds, I immediately point at this movie and the mental scar it gave me!! I think what fucks me up about it is that they're slowly and painfully burning to death and they can't even get out of their spaces to run and get help and/or jump into some water. I'm not even claustrophobic or pyrophobic, but just the idea of burning to death while in an enclosed space has me fucked up every single time!!!

The DVD of this with the "Choose Their Fate" feature was awesome. Love this one. 💕

The tanning scene is based on 2 urban legends. One is of a girl who supposedly went to the tanning bed so many times that her intestines began to rot. The second is of the song Love Rollercoaster that's playing in that scene. The song has a part in which a woman can be heard screaming. The legend goes that this scream is of a woman being murdered.

Alexz Johnson's name was Erin in the movie lol and she is my favorite ending in the entire franchise. Ryan Merriman is such a sweetheart in real life. I wrote him a letter when I was younger and not only did he send me a signed photo that I didn't even ask for but it was a sneak peek of a film he was in that hadn't come out yet at that time. He also, hand-wrote me an actual response to my letter.

The tanning bed scene is genuinely terrifying to me. My anxiety was getting worse by the second watching that. I'm claustrophobic so the idea of not only burning but being trapped in a small space like that where you can't even move....😰 So vicious and brutal.

As a person with anxiety who is also a roller coaster enjoyer, this movie weirdly doesn't freak me out a bit because once you know how different parts of coasters work (like the hydraulics that keep the restraints holding you, their default if they lose pressure or power is actually to be restraining, not "open") they feel super safe and you can identify all the ways this movie fudged the science to make the accident happen. And Chey is totally right, the back is the roughest (for lack of a better word) place on a coaster to sit- not the front. So if you want to get whipped around the least, the front is a pretty good place to be. I was in the last seat on Boulder Dash at Lake Compounce and my boobs actually flew out of my bra during the triple-up on the return to the station, it's THAT rough! And I am SO disappointed that you didn't recognize Harris Allan, the actor who plays Hunter, Ben and Michael's son, on the US early-oughts Queer as Folk- he was the ride op with the headphones on, waiting to discharge the coaster train! Chey went, "OH MY GOD!" and pointed, and I was so happy- until he said, "it's Ken Tanaka...from Glee". Have you not watched QAF? Some of it hasn't aged the best, but it's still a great show.

When I was 10 years old, my sister and I were in line for a ride at worlds of fun in kc. It was called the barnstormer it had planes that went around and move up high as it was spinning. As the group of people ahead of us started the ride, as the ride was coming down a hydraulic pipe burst and everyone got hot oil on them the planes went crazy and started crashing into each other and hitting the lamppost around the ride. It was one of the scariest things I’ve ever witnessed. Everyone went to the hospital. It was chaos, I can’t ride anything that goes in the air,and I don’t even like theme parks anymore.

This is one of my favorite final destination movies ever. Most definitely one that traumatized me going to the movies to see this the year after going to cedar point. I never looked at rollercoasters the same lol I love this movie so much! ❤ Such an iconic movie 🍿 Great reaction you guys. 🫶🏻

I don't think this movie was in 3D (the fourth one was, though), but the dvd did have this game on it where you could decide the character's fate by choosing certain things, like heads or tails.

Literally hate how I I just think of 2 burnt hot dogs side by side on a grill when I think of Ashley and Ashlyn in this movie 😭

I was on a ride at Kings Dominion, a few years ago, and it one was one where the first drop was from very high up. It was also Fright Night, so it was completely dark and cold. The ride stopped 3/4ths of the way up, leaving us all almost completely vertical. About after 30 minutes of waiting, a worker made their way up on the steps, to the left of the ride, and assured us we would be down soon. People were having panic attacks, rightfully so, and about after an hour of waiting it was fixed. None of us were thinking clearly, and when it started back up, we realized we had to finish the ride. Because we had the lost momentum, the ride took minutes to get to the very top, it went up click by click. The ride finished, and there was security and men in suits waiting at the end. They told us to leave, didn’t even try to get support for anyone, and didn’t even comp us.

I think that 1 & 3 are my favourites in this franchise. xx

I always trust my gut after the trauma I suffered through on the Cheetah Hunt after being forced on it and punished for crying and having autism. I refused to ride anything else and "ruined the vacation for everyone else.". So whenever my anxiety spikes getting closer to a ride, I get the fuck out.

The idea of something like this happening on a rollercoaster is why I haven’t been on one since I was like 11

The tanning scene for me is double iconic - this franchise from the start tried to outdo itself with the most creative kills, flashy, splashy and all of that. But this movie's tanning scene? It's not only flashy, it is long - it's not a quick cut through a head, it's not a heavy sign splattering a body into the ground - it's long, it's torturous, they don't shy away from showing the skin melting and filling your ears with screams. The girls suffer and the viewer is suffering with them 🔥 It might be the worst death in the entire franchise for me 😮

It was a real roller coaster in Vancouver B.C., It's sadly closed down now. The roller coaster isn't as big as it is in the movie though, they used CG to make it look more intimating. For the longest time I didn't go on it because of this movie. It's sill my favorite in the series though

i remember watching this movie as a kid when it first came out on DVD, and for the next two days, I was throwing up because it scared me so much. i love this series now but that was wild.

My husband and I got stuck on the Mind Bender at Six Flags Ga. It was in the early 90's, and they couldn't stop it, we had to ride it straight thru 6 times in a row. After the first 2 times, the excitement ended quickly. I was so happy when the finally got it stopped!!

SPOILER ALERT for those who have not watched. Now do you two really think it's a coincidence that the girls who were burned to death were named Ashley and Ashlynn? Totally on the nose!

I may have a problem lol but I live close to six flags magic mountain and literally there is a rollercoaster called "the viper", that looks and almost has the same design as this coaster and every time I get on with friends or family, I tell them to remember final destination. Literally the anxiety and rage is directed at me 😂😂😂 and here I am laughing and enjoying the thrill 😂😂😂. So despicable I know but ya great ride hopefully that shit don't happen lol

If I ever thought about going to a tanning salon, this movie would’ve changed my mind. That scene freaked me out even more than the coaster scene. I still go on carnival rides, but nothing that’ll take me up high or upside down.

Fun Fact: The huge devil was anatomically correct. Why it needed to be, I have no idea.

I have flown out of a rollercoaster when I was a kid, the bar dislodged and I just shot out sideways. Luckily it was on the lowest turn, and not a fast one (wasnt a big rollercoaster) so I just bounced off the fence and hit the ground.... but it was scary haha

FUNFACT: The goth guy Ian is in a Goosebumps episode too, The Scarecrow Walks at Midnight. Also, yes they did mount a camera to a real coaster, but it was actually a pretty mediocre one in real life -- they used CGI to beef it up. There's a great BTS doc on RU-vid.

Four and five are a lot less memorable for. I remember a few bits and pieces five. I'm mostly remember the end but the whole series is worth checking out. It's just I think the earlier ones were better and there is a sixth one that's supposed to come out soon. So probably a good idea to watch all of them and I might rewatch all of them cuz it's been a while since I've binged them

I was on a ride one time and my guard didn't lock if it wasn't for the people in the cage with me I would be dead. They held me in place when we went up side down and after a minute they stopped the ride I didn't get on a roller coster for years

Frankie was such a character of the early 00’s 🙄🙄 I was obsessed with this movie as a teenager and Mary Elizabeth’s performance. I was always reenacting her performance in my room 😂 This one wasn’t 3D but some of the shots are for the DVD when you could “pick their fate” like the coin toss could be heads or tails. The actors had to ride that rollercoaster like 25 times in one night for the up close action shots (though it wasn’t as crazy as the movie appears) but I can’t imagine. I always found it so sad her boyfriend gets left on there. That was fucked up they wouldn’t let him off when he asked. Also, this cast is so Canadian! Lmao
