watching it now and i'm like. WTF? ... there's even 32 unit void space between the exit switch and wall he was pressing, so it's not like just lift or something. Swithing through walls lol.
its the perfect middle-step between doom2 and doom64 always feel like a doomed marine alone in the space acepting the true, that the world of doomguy used to live is no longer exist and now are just open fields chill/obscure music for killing demon as a hobby, kinda madmax psyche.
@@Drakorvich I like TNT more than Plutonia, Plutonia seems to be hard for the sake of it, jn TNT we actually have some space themed levels and wormhole and my favorite level Pharaoh by Darío Casali, imo TNT is heavily underrated.
After reading description I think he maybe wanted not to make us too depressed by looking at all those sad emotes. But I hope we'll soon get a speedrun with all the smiley faces in the world. But seriously, I think it's better to show the difference between previous record. We can imagine that everything faster than previous record is smile and everything slower is not a smile.
Oh man this one is so much fun to watch. May not be the most difficult but so relaxing to see! Edit: Wow the levels are long though! Er, don't get me wrong, none of this looks easy, I just heard Plutonia is the harder one. This still looks insane non-the-less. So cool to see!
Most of the later maps are just as hard, if not harder, than Plutonia. The sheer amount of hitscan makes it impossible not to lose tons of health even if you're going slowly - going at this speed is absolutely insane. Memorising Evilution's convoluted and long levels is one thing, to execute at such a high degree of precision is another.
Hey all! Well, question mark here (?) Since I've been looking for a DooM map that I really liked, but that I can't find anywhere. I'm talking about the level in the desert, with the Sphinx and the pyramid. I think it was also playable with Brutal DooM, but I'm not sure. Basically you spawned outside, and you had to unlock the secret doors that brought you inside the pyramid, and then find all the 3 keys to fight the last cybers. Also, there was another map pack, which was _really_ hard, where in the first level you were in this kind of big train station and there were boxes and spiderdemons. Also I remember a mirror where you could shoot yourself, in order to open some secret doors. Anyone can help me about the name of these maps? I know I dont help so much with the description but I played it 5 years ago, and I can't remember more. Thanks in advance!
I can't be too sure but the first map you describe might be Alien Vendetta MAP20 (Misri Halek) as it is the most famous desert/egyptian map ever made: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rbT-SXYCbhE.html
After playing with Final Doomer+ so much, it's weird seeing the normal weapons in these maps. I wonder if FD+ speedrunning will ever be a thing. That'd be cool. Edit: Oh man, BTSX FD+ routing would probably be ridiculous with the bouncy shotgun.
I prefer TNT because the textures and levels. Reminds me of episode 1 slogging through the base. Plutonia with its brown drab textures in first few levels looks like literal poop
Is it just me or does your Map17 doomworld topic link not work? It just directs to the main page Also I don't recall level 4 (Wormhole) being that short of a map? I used to play TNT and Plutonia heaps when I was a kid and I always seemed to remember TNT was the most convoluted thing in existence (and plutonia was just difficult and packed)
ah, looks like when I copied the FAQ from my previous video the link got shortened, thanks for noticing, fixed now. Map04 is of course much larger than what is shown here, but the linedef the opens up to the exit is very early on, why that was put there I don't know.
Zero Master i saw an explaination about wall glides and stuff but I didn’t really understand how or what happened with you facing a wall and linedefing(?) an exit? In any case that was a sick speedrun despite all the misfortunes
@@baseddoggie If I were to take a guess I would say PRBOOM or Crispy Doom. Probably Crispy Doom EDIT: It was in the description. Source Port (demo): Crispy Doom v4.3 Source Port (video): prboom-plus-2.5.1.5.r4526-win32 So i was kind of right on both.
Hey kid there is no such thing as cheating on doom... if you are looking for a game that is cheated on alot then try minecraft, trust me you won't be disappointed also you should know this already but dream is a good cheater speedrunner, a real one at that! You seem to already know him by the way your pfp looks!
