Also you may be aware by now, but you missed the Scathe spell, it's next to the save crystal at the very end of the Lusu mines. The MP cost is huge (especially in weak mode) but if you're using a Sage's ring and keeping plenty of ether/hi ether in your inventory you can comfortably use it, it's amazing for any time where the target doesn't have a weakness for your black mage to exploit.
@@DarkkefkaIf you’re going that far, then you may as well pick up the Masamune too, since you don’t have the Gilgamesh hunt active, you can just walk in and take it. Maximillian and Germinas Boots are also worthy pickups, I’d say. Maybe Bone of Byblos.
DK something i just saw for hell wyrm you can put it in bersek which might be helpful for weak mod since it prevent him to use his ability. I did not know it but a video of Hyll wyrm in 38 second had put him under berserk.
The Subterra sections of the Pharos however, are complete bullshit in weakmode. Luckily I found one of those huge clusters of dark orbs early on (over 100 of them) and just quickly activated all of the altars so I could take on the Shadowseer.
I took my Weak Mode party into the upper layers of the Great Crystal and it's rough but not overwhelmingly so. You don't need to fight everything there. Granted I made sure to pick up Scathe first, but personally, I recommend just sprinting past a lot of the bigger enemies in the Great Crystal until you pick up Excalibur -- which requires you to beat Ultima in this version of the game. When you do decide to fight Ultima, make sure to bring Darkga and the Yagyu Darkblade.
Also pointing out for those that don't know, but you'll probably want to take Reddas with you into Trial Mode to make it far easier. That does mean completing as much as possible with him in the party, but you can't do everything in the main game until after he's gone.
The upper level of the great crystal's scary but you can quickly escape enemies due to how short the distance between loading zones is. It is worth grinding for the Mina if you want to build a really decent tank role though, getting the Lava Eater to spawn is a huge ballache but you can abuse the game's quick save system to guarantee the drop once you finally get to that point. The Mina's got extremely good evasion for a 1h weapon, only slightly worse than the Main Gauche but it also combos like crazy, hits relatively hard and has a massive 70% chance of insta killing the target. I ran the Mina + Zodiac shield on Penello (Red battlemage/Shikari) and she was unbelievably tanky despite weak mode.
The extra characters in the hunts are there for immersion. Either the one who asked you to do the hunt or a clan member joining you, making it more like you’re directly helping them rather than just doing their work for them. Bansat does have a chance to do Immobilize on hit, so that’s how that happened. It just feels nice to get through the fights with your ally still alive, though there’s no punishment if they don’t make it. Also, I was wondering if you were just going to never actually equip the Arcturus on Ashe, but you had swapped it by the time you went to the Giza Plains. You kept using Spica while in the Lhusu Mines and I was like what happened did you somehow not have enough LP? lol
Been a while since I saw a vid. Guess it's on the post-game parts now. But yeah, enemies are hella scary now at this point. I'd say that anything with level 40+ in stats is capable of taking you out with just the slightest slip up now. Worse if they have a chance to instantly KO a character. Gonna have to really gigabrain Trial mode too if you try it.
Nope, far from post game. He hasn't even gotten to Giruvegan. The Daedalus fight going in is rough because he has an area attack that hits your whole party for 2000+ damage when his health gets low.
@@cameraredeye3115 just the steppe is going to have some dangerous stuff too. quite a few 5 digit HP normal enemies start showing up then. at least he has guns for the flying enemies there.
