Cid and Gerulf are the only men in the world that treated her with kindness and respect. Barnabas only viewed her as a tool for his fool's ambition. After losing Gerulf and realizing that she mattered so little to her liege, she finally broke.
How she speaks of Cid gives me ex lover/boyfriend vibes. Cid did save her from people trying to hurt her. He even called her "Bena". nahhh, Cid was her flame bro.
I remember when some people said Benedikta died after this fight, and no one believed it. I didn’t believe she’d die so early either. Well they were right I suppose. It’s just a shame there were no more fights with Garuda.
It’s lame as hell that she died so early and that more backstory interactions with her & cid didn’t happen. The other dominants kinda less fun in presence.
@@Stanzbey69 I consider her & garuda one singular boss fight honestly😭but i'm not talking about the best boss fights which is obviously either odin/bahumut, i'm talking genuine likability of the enemy dominants in general which barnabus and dion is kinda boring to me personally.
@@_You_Are_Not_Him_ I mean one fight with Garuda. Not talking about the fight with Benedikta herself. Also I’d consider Clive fighting Garuda and Ifrit fighting Garuda the same fight, just two phases.
This fight does well to demonstrate the sheer might of Ifrit, as well as Clive's unbridled rage. But I think it secretly showcases something really sad about the fight, that you only really notice once you look past the spectacle. Just how Garuda is struggling to get away at the end. Right around 17:35 and onward, she's just trying to get away from Ifrit. She knows she's in too deep, and has to escape somehow, or she'll burn to a crisp. The choreography of the struggle is just so terrifying, Ifrit constantly grabbing her again and refusing to let her go. Shrieking into her face as his body further and further ignites, until she's already catching fire in his grip. But she isn't allowed to just collapse, she has to stay awake as she burns to death in his Hellfire explosion. Screaming back as hard as she can, until all she can do is spasm and convulse in his grip, before being blown back by the explosion, wings and skin charred to a crisp.
that attempt to escape the burning flames of ifrit at 17:43 makes this so sad, not to mention the screams once ifrit snatches her back and emits more flames at her
Well, then again, how many did Benedikta kill that also tried to flee from her? Like the poor farmer who helped them. She toyed with Clive and showed him no mercy. And she got none in return.
No offense, TOTK will totally win. You can't see what you are doing in this game, the camera is constantly whirling around and massive visual noise. TOTK is also one of the best games ever made, period.
@@loganvest367 you're clearly biased but that's fine. I know totk is good and it probably has more fans but ff16 is an amazing game too. We'll just have to wait and see which one takes the prize 🏆
This battle means if the eikon is killed in battle will also kill its dominant by extension. As shown when after Ifrit killed Garuda with Hellfire, Benedikta dies as a result of Garuda’s death.
I would usually give a bonk for comments l like these but yeah i agree, that toothy grinning face and her overall demeanor during the fight was kinda hot.
why did you put it on graphics mode? the only difference between graphics mode and performance mode is that graphics mode will overheat your ps5. for what? the game is a motion blur fest anyways even on performance mode. u wont see shit in graphics mode
@@moeftw6792 performance mode sucks the frame rates keeps dropping and makes it not worth playing. Graphic modes locks it in 30 fps which is a better trade off in my opinion
@@voodoochild6918 no i tried both. Graphics mode is way too blurry and you dont see anything. It also will overheat your ps5. If you think graphics mode was ok then ur legally blind 🤣
I've finished the main quest for this game and this fight (Benedikta + Garuda) is the highlight of gaming boss fights for me in the past 8 or so years, or maybe even my entire life. Maybe not the most technically demanding gaming I've experienced, but the sheer spectacle of it all, with the wonderful pacing as it just keeps escalating to more insane heights, with the soundtrack blasting.. yeah, extremely memorable. I can't think of anything recently that comes even remotely close aside from some From Software boss fights. Very Japanese and very hype. Unfortunately, the fights with Titan, Bahamut and Odin fail to live up to this this for me, even with their sheer absurdity, there's something special about this first Eikon/Kaiju battle that stuck with me. The rest of the game was shadowed by this phenomenal tour de force...
I'd throw NieR Automata up there, many bosses kept getting more and more insane with the best OST in gaming history. Maybe even some MGS Rising as well. But this is definitely the best in a long minute, far and away. I'd never doubt Yoshi-P nor Soken
First a Ben Starr Predecessor passes away who does movies, and then this Ben Starr continues doing the work as a true celebrity acting worker. My guess is he did the first voice acting video game career.
This was a great fight and the game just keeps getting better. I wouldn't be suprised if this wins game of the year, but i feel like fires of rubicon and lies of p may end up being good runners too
Armored Core will no doubt be insane, but since it's a non Soulslike From Soft game, I fear it will go rather underrated compare to say Elden Ring or their other games due to the genre shift. Which is a shame because that mech genre is soooo good. I still dream of a new Zone of Enders entry to this day
I was tired after this fight because I put all my rage into the QTE when Ifrit was burning Garuda alive. I could feel the rage burning her to ashes. The build up and everything was very well done.
The gameplay is amazing and the boss fights are top notch but the side quests and npc conversations are absolutely boring the game has its pros and cons for sure
The sidequests were incredibly underwhelming. I'll never argue with someone who disliked them because I totally see what they mean. I actually liked the sidequests, myself. My friend said it in a way that hit me hard. The sidequests are like watching a slice of life. It's peering into others lives during all of this madness that's happening. It was like a nice come down from such epic feats that happen in the game. I do love me my slice of life stuff though, so I'm very biased!
@sillybaul7351 I'd agree with you but the plot itself wasn't the best compared to some other final fantasies storylines, and I think that's what caused me to not care for the side quests for the dialouge I started to just skip everything besides the dialouge before a boss fight
i just finished it and i have to agree, I really enjoyed the game and dont want to rush it and did some Side quests and man they were boring af so i just kept doing main quest instead
not really though, the other fights are very Dragonball Z but this one, with it's raw scrappy-ness, the camera angles, the shot composition, the animation... it's top tier. It's the best one IMO.
@@aurifelix It's part of the tastes, I think this fight is like Pacific Rim 1 in the sense that Ifrit felt very heavy and hard to use, but the camera angle and his slow attacks showcased the magnitude of his power, the rest of Eikon's fights were like Pacific Rim 2 where Ifrit was under control but he even felt like Sonic in the Titan Fight, but to be fair the devs were also criticized after they showcased this fight in an early demo some months ago It wouldn't have worked well the rest of the game without increasing the scale of the fights
They should have given her more hp and a stagger bar for this fight instead of the one before where clive fights her as a human and wins??? Anyway they threw out Ramuh,Shiva,Garuda and Leviathan. Most of the spotlight was on Odin,Phoenix,Titan ,Bahamut and of course Ifrit but it was an amazing experience nonetheless. I cant wait for Rising Tide though. This will be the first game I know of where the main character can manipulate all elements.
As great as this game is, I think it’s WAY too easy. It lacks a lot of exploration other Ff games had (ffx for example). It lacks a lot of customization of characters and party members. Gear, roles, move set, having party members master certain styles (white magic, black etc) is gone. It feels more like a action GOW game rather than a Ff game. I miss putting almost 100 hours n a Ff game and going back and exploring for hidden moves, weapons, gear etc.
i’m about to start the game and was wondering if the ring of timely focus makes the game too easy? i saw that you were using it, but was wondering if it detracts from the fight?
Those rings definitely make the game a joke. It is your choice at the end but I would refrain from using them if you are looking for a challenge. The game is easy even without them, however
please tell me what kind of move when you press bottom when circle of R1 is appears / how to set it in the abilities / what 's it effect / I think it's cool!!! (it's look like dodge the enemy right?) // thanks you all guys 😀
@@smilinjack87 you get it by getting the base points! Doing bounties and side quests will get you there. It's a super cool ring, I never took it off once I unlocked it!
garuda and ramus that god . This fight with frit if they live toghether . garuda new god in ff i never conquest them . i like beat fall bahamut in this ff 16 . in future i want conquest garuda 1 times . summon them in battle
