I am an inquisitive little bugger. When I saw that I had 0 of the equipment I needed to upgrade for the XP, I quickly noticed pieces equipped by party members listed separately. An innate desire to see what happens led me to try upgrading the item while still equipped. End result: No dupes.
Here's a cool trick you can do with Reprieve: Combine Enemy skill materia with hp absorb materia, equip an accessory that negates instant death or combine warding with subversion materia and use self destruct in battle which will do massive damage and give you a full limit break without killing you. (The more magic attack you have the more the limit break will fill)
@@leocreuu3254this was great too! randomly timed Soothing Breeze right before battle finished and it healed the whole party while points and rewards accrued
For healing with low level potions, they are way faster to use if you got into the game menu and use them there because you can spam them way faster. For cushions, I would say keep them for Hard Mode, because those are the only usable Items that heal MP in Hard Mode.
1 HUGE thing that helps me not fast travel to heal all the time... Use soothing breeze from the enemy materia at the end of a fight. Cloud will keep casting it even when fight is over and you'll heal everyone up quite a bit.
@@enriquesol clearing the maps after each chapter finishes in that section I can do it without needing to stop at benches hardly ever bc of "soothing breeze" "pray" and red gets 1 to but I can't remember it's name. He heals using his vengeance gauge. At forest map
Yes indeed I did go first time with aerith then finished the game and started chapter 12 and choose Tifa and it worked now I will be doing more missions then do the same again with yuffie I think only those needed for Johnny's items
For the very first point, you can just enhance the armlet while it is equipped, that is why it even shows up in the first place, you don't need to unequip.
Funny actually, you will I think maybe you haven't noticed it much cause 5 is like a sliver, but it does move otherwise it would break the game, since once you enhance it while equipped the option for making it for 5 exp goes away, so if you were not awarded the 5 you realize how it would be a game breaking bug right ?@@Bladehuraska
I never once unequipped my equipment in Rebirth because I figured I can survive without even changing them, I was more focused on AP, level grinding and mat hoarding.
I'm sure folks know this already, but you can also pick the "bad" responses during character specific dialogues and the perfect ones for the one you want to go on a date with. That'll help put your choice in the lead. The bad responses also illicit a more humorous response anyways 😆
Here’s a tip don’t get excited about new good looking weapons cuz they will have 2 materia slots also don’t use potions make it a habit so that your not gonna miss it on hard mode
13:23 For anyone seeing this too late to change their relationship status with their characters: You can indeed select any character that has high enough relationship with you to go on a date with. The only downside is you will have to do so after beating the game. Similar to Remake, Rebirth lets you chapter select any chapter after completing the game. However, this Chapter selection menu will also give you access to extra settings, one of which is to force the character you want to go on a date with. This is a great thing since that means you can replay any date or do the ones you didn't get on the first playthrough without having to start a new game!
It's been pointed out it seems, but YOU CAN craft items even if someone has it equipped. You just select the one with their character icon next to it.... It will not only craft it, but it will still be equipped to the character who had it on. Upgrading their currently equipped equipment.... Not sure how you got that so wrong at the very start of your video (or how you missed it when playing the game). On relationships, if you don't get the one you want because you are doing them all, it is REALLY EASY to see them all after you beat the game. A new option menu is added that allows you to not only see the exact things you've done and not done for increasing their affection (along with chapter select to go do said things), but you can also select WHO you go on said dates for in chapters 8 and 12 respectively, regardless of their affection levels, locking in the choice. Thus allowing you to see all the outcomes without multiple playthroughs. So it's not as big of a deal unless you NEED to see it on your first playthrough.
Good vid. Don't overlook focused strike. It builds the stagger meter incredibly fast. Also, you actually build the limit break level by using the Support attacks that say they raise the Limit level, not just any team attack.
Since 7 character is playable I hope they increased party group variation shortcut from 3 to 6 because there's so many combo to choose per party without going to setup screen
As others have mentioned the first one is wrong. You can tell by your video that the equipment itself is in red meaning you can't craft it but right underneath it with Yuffie's picture it's not meaning that you can upgrade the one equipped to her.
I did every side quest except the last one which I think unlocks only after anyway and still ended up with Tifa. Kept using synergy attacks between her and Cloud which according to game also improves relationship.
With the 3D brawler you can pause it right when they’re about to attack and you can map out where they go from there. Beat everyone on the first try with that method.
So what chapter should we start to only do specific side quests? I don’t like that it works that way but I’m glad you told me because I’m someone who was gonna do everything and has so far before moving on
Just keep doing what your doing, if new quests show up you can backtrack, the map will even list it, and nothing is missable with chapter select anyways.
If you have completed the game, it doesn't matter as you can select who to date in Chapter 12 anyway. The only reason you need to reset the quests for Hard Mode is to get the extra manuscripts. When you look at the quest page in the menu, it will show a small icon that looks like a book. These quests, when completed, give you manuscripts so you can unlock more Folio abilities. Generally, like playing through the main story, they are the ones with bosses that reward Manuscripts
Thanks I was under the impression that I’d get to pick the date if I just maxed as many relationships as I could. Unfortunately it might be too late for me. Azeroth might already be maxed. I don’t know why other guides don’t mention that.
When you said the best way to build up the limit gauge was to "stun", what did you mean? When you say stun, do you mean "stagger"? If not, how do you stun? Thanks.
Want a REALLY easy way to do 3d Brawler? Pause with each of their attacks so you have all the time in the world to figure out what their attack is and dodge appropriately :)
Bruh, point 1 is moot, you can upgrade stuff while a charecter has it quipped. You even pointed out how it shows who has it equipped, and thats because you just use that to upgrade it. In your video its even the only thing you could upgrade.
Definitely sell crafting resources, bcs they are everywhere! Selling stuff like ore or sage and so on is a very good starting method to make money. I had over 70k, 80 health potions and full stocked resources at the end of the grasslands.
Why does everyone say “oh, just finish the game and then go back with the chapter select and get anything you missed that way”? It’s a 100 hour game if you do all the side content. The average gamer is playing through once if they even have time for that.
First, you actually can craft enhanced in equipped gear, it has its own line with the same name underneath the normal one. Secondly, don't use potions to heal the way he did, use the healing spell instead, you can even open the start menu, select spells and heal using characters not in your selected party and heal with their mana instead (you can multiuse spells as well). Third, you should sell the materials. Most of the items he mentioned have a higher cost of other materials, making you waste those while still only using a few of the ones you're capped out on.
Im in chapter 8 at the Golden Saucer and i feel like i just messed up my items have around 5 materas i can equip to them ia that normal or should i figure out what i need to make to have better suff cause after seening what you can get i was like holy crap plus i dont have time on my side and im also playing another game but i been spending more time on this
I made the mistake of not finding any of the special Queen's Blood cards that are necessary to defeat Regina. Her cards are borderline broken against any of the 4 packs you can get from the vendors. I didn't think the developers would be fucking stupid enough to make this part of the game required to advance the story. Now I'm locked out from everything past the Queen's Blood tournament your forced into in the middle of the game.
Question for anyone already on hard mode. If I 100% the game as I go, will those side quests still be completed in the open world on my save once I select hard mode? Or, is it more like ff7 remake, where you would have to re-do all the side stuff on your hard mode playthrough? I only ask because I would rather finish the game and do it all on the second playthrough, rather than doing everything two separate times.
You can choose whether to keep them or reset them with Chapter Select once you've finished the game. But any only partially completed ones will be reset.
nah, i couldnt be bothered doing the minigames early. they are such a drag at times and quiet difficult. backtracking in this game is no problem due to fast travel. i just went into chapter 12 and did everything i missed. (and what i could manage, like i said, some things are pretty hard, at least for me)
In Original FF7 there is a trophy to go on a date with Barret. You achieve this by tanking all the other relationships and befriend only him. It's guaranteed one of the top 10 of the most annoying and hard achievements to get of all time. So it's basically the same old system but easier to see what you're doing now as there is a smiley above them.
Actually, in the ORIGINAL, there are no trophies. But, yes the version re released for ps4 does have this. For some reason for me though, in Rebirth, I didn't get a date with anyone for Gold Saucer
Describing it as a date is so deceptive/misleading. There is no date besides the 3 girls. The rest are treated as jokes, in the case of Barret it's just him giving you advice to work up the courage to talk up one of the girls. I don't get why people keep pretending like this is a date or a relationship. Cloud is only oriented to the girls and the game even makes it obvious, by the reactions in Costa del Sol among others, he's also only protective of the girls in the dialogue while he's always a bit of a standoffish jerk to the men.
I sort of wish weapons couldn't be found and certain materia needed to be brought from vendors. Shops feel pointless just like the original. Great game just like the original just never understood why the need for Gil farming in ff games.
I didn't get a date with any character at all. Even though they all had smiley faces above theirs heads...I did all the activities in Gold Saucer solo 😢
The trick to Queen's blood is you need map control. What you want to do is take over the top Lane or the middle Lane as fast as possible and cut off the AI's ability to play cards. From there, take all of your free unchallenged spaces and play your big cards for enhancements. With a surprisingly basic deck with not too many heavy hitters, you can actually dominate most of the A. I.
I beat every card game except the score attack ones with this deck: 2 Madragora Cactuar 2 Archdragon 2 Capparwire 2 Sandhog Pie 2 Heatseeker 2 Tonberry King 2 Yin & Yang (any replace card will do) I forget what I had in there before the replace cards became available. Generally it's about board control, then destroying your own cards to run up the power on the Tonberrys, though most the time the game was over before I had to do that. Set the Sandhog to boost the Tonberrys and when you replace the Sandhog, the Tonberrys get +5. If the cappars destroy 1 or 2 of your cards, that's more boost. And the Archdragons help a lot with board control, which is the real game. Always be taking their pawns and never let your pawns be taken. There are some more intricate decks I played with, but I always came back to this one because it's so simple and so effective. The more complex a deck is, the more dependent it is on the draw. You can win with almost any draw with this deck. It's hard but doable even if the Tonberrys don't come up.
My god, I hate the 3d brawler, took me quite a while to take down the toughest one, no spoilers, but in the end I got him flawlessly, not one hit on me, really wanted to clip it but my ps5 record function wasn't working 😢
Also when I got to chapter 12 and got to the date it did not give me Aerith even though all my characters were Maxed, I got Yuffie, and she was the LAST person i git up to max.
im currently in chapter 12 nibelheim and i have maxed out tifa, aerith and red xiii. who will i end up dating in the gold saucer?? im worried i get red xiii 🤣
Here is a 3 general tip that goes for all JRPGs.... Explore every little corner and under every rock. Don't skip any content and make sure you get S grade on all mini games. Grind the F. out of all the monsters.
@@WateringDNami If you only do the "main quest" in an JRPG you will miss out on allot of level progression and will most likely never be able to finish the las boss fight. That usually ends up in a 40 min long ironman contest.
System, Play Log, R1 few times, MAGIC. Looking at your relationship with the characters from the ingame menu can be confusing as you may have 2 characters at the same place of the bar, but different relationship. In the play log you have detailed info that is super helpful end game when you want to higher it with all.
hang on, wait wait wait, ive played this game for 100+ hours. when the hell did it tell you, that you can open the assessed data on enemies in battle without having to use assess again.
I stopped watching right away at the first one. You don't have to unequip the item...if you select the item with the character listed next to it when crafting, it changes the characters equipped item into the enahnaced version and leave it equipped on that character.
Not ebing able to choose your date is so stupid but what really grinds my gears is the fact that the game is CONSTANTLY trying to force Aerith on you, pretty much every sidequest that first pops up for a region is for Aerith's favor and HER side quests are required to unlock most of Tifa's, i have been actively avoiding Aerith's side quests and purposefully choosing the worst responses for her and all of that just to be able to date Tifa, thanks Square, i'm having to miss out because you don't to put an option to choose your date.
"Unable to craft items equipped" I didn't figure this out till Chapter 2 or 3, and its quite obvious.... "Weapon Passive": Has been a thing since Part 1. Next "Don't sell Resources": Actually please do because depending on where you are, you will either sell tons of sage, iron ore, planet blessings, etc. Just make sure you have around 80. If you don't have enough for crafting just fast travel, its really really not that hard, I would buy 1 or 2 accessories or armor pieces at 2500 each, and I still get money back from selling Materials. Just go on the main road on a Chocobo and just...GO and collect mats. Just don't sell emeralds/rubies or whatever cuz they don't sell for much for a reason. "Set materia for entire party instead of one at a time": This is one of the most useful tools in both the remake and original game though in the original this wasn't easily accessible at the start I believe. "Early side quest + Combat simulator" This is a no brainer but unlike part 1, its better to farm AP in the real world if you know where to AP grind. Side quests and Combat sim missions will award free materia or other rewards just like Part 1. The game makes sure you start with 'one of each' basic materia, you get the 2nd one from combat sim, and a 3rd copy of the same materia in the overworld by encountering the materia sitting on the ground waiting to be picked up, or as rewards from NPCs or battles.
Ugh... After getting the secret summon(NO SPOILERS), which is supposed to be the hardest fight in the game... I have to do more bullshit minigames to get his gear... Yep. Skip. Dragon's Dogma II is coming out in a couple weeks so I can just forget about this for another 4+ years until the next sequel.... I think in PS1 disc era we're at the mid of disc 2? They jumbled a lot in the story, and NO that is NOT a spoiler.
I don’t understand people like you that buy and play the game just to be upset at it like buy play and enjoy the game or don’t. You people that whine and complain are the worst.
Kinda funny I played the Junon demo and thought man we don’t really need a bunch of chocobo stops and I was very wrong about that now that I’ve played this game is huge and beautifully made
I'm looking at the character roster and I'm not seeing Cid or Vincent in there anywhere... does that mean that two characters in the original game aren't playable?
Khraze i have a question that i have been asking all around in intermission it says that i need to assess Weiss with the assess matetia of course but if you dont actually fight Weiss in intermission only in remake do i just assess him in remake and then the assessment i make will show up in my play log of intermission is this the way it works please clarify this for me because all the answers i hot have been rather vague thanks
For Cloud the damage and skills matter not because Buster Sword is the only sword. I only equip the others to get skills then back to Buster. It is the way. Even in remake all of hard mode and the hardest fights in combat sim I only used the Buster sword, and in that game it didn’t have Reprieve, now it does
2:20 There is ONE WEAPON that is Missable... And that teh Dragons / Tiger Claws that is a reward for the Box Breaking Challenge in the DustBowl... Corel Region If you dont win, You wont be able to buy it - PERIOD!!! Not a massive issue but the Skill Chi Trap is very useful late game.
@@Necrostrike I double checked my save and I do have them, but I did not beat that game... :( There is a route through that guarantee's you will get close to if not the high score every time... Watched a video about it. They got a PERFECT Run... Make sure that you have the Folio Skill that gives cloud a ranged attack after blocking, You will need it to hit some Time Boxes... Any Materia that fill at least ONE ATB Gauge... and Use Triple Slash Ability on the 1500 Point Boxes. Hope that helps a little...
The first tip is not correct. You can craft the enhanced item even when the character is equipping it. Just need to select the item you wish to enhance with the character icon beside it.
