Read 👇👇👇 Thanks to Square Enix for providing the Review code of this game. FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH is finally here on PS5. As usual the game on PS5 offers 2 graphics modes to choose from. Here's a in depth graphics comparison how the two modes stack up against one another. From the looks of it, the graphics quality of the 2 modes are identical. The major difference comes down to the Resolution. The GRAPHICS mode runs somewhere around 1800P and upscales that to 4K. Whereas the Performance mode runs somewhere around 1080P and upscales that to 1440P. The performance mode can be very blurry sometimes because of the upscaling technique that is used here. The game can really look to running at sub 1080P resolutions on the Performance Mode. Things such hair, grass and vegetation looks very subpar. In terms of graphics and image quality, the GRAPHICS mode is the way to go for now. The performace however is a different story. Performance is generally quite stable in both the modes. The GRAPHICS mode maintains a rock solid 30FPS whereas the Performance generally hits its target of 60FPS with some minor drops during large battle sequences. Overall FINAL FANTASY VII Rebirth a incredible game, with some work required to be done to polish its performance modes. Thanks for Watching.

I like how the only gameplay you show is in slow motion to avoid showing the insane blurring in performance mode and the horrific judder in 30 fps graphics mode.

It looks like the biggest thing is how the lighting effects everything. Textures and detail look pretty much the same but how things react to lighting is a big difference. Performance looking like things are either lit or unlit while Graphics has a much smoother transition and apparent light sources in scenes

I guess I’m failing to understand. I just finished playing XIII on PS3, which is 30fps, but felt really smooth. Whereas 30fps graphics mode on VIIR feels super jittery. What is the difference?

Rebirth has no motion blur option, which usually helps with 30 fps games. I assume XIII on the ps3 has motion blur baked in to help wtih performance.

I don't get how Tears of the Kingdom is 30 fps and plays great, but a PS5 game in quality mode feels like 10 fps and almost unplayable

I've experienced tge same. I can easily play 30fps games like Tears of The Kingdom on my Sony 55 inch Midrange 4ktv and they feel smooth and doesn't look all blurry but If I try a game like this one or lets say Ratchet and Clank Rift Appart on my PS5, the 30 fps on them look weird and feel super slow and wrong. Its like if the Switch is outputting a smooth version of the 30fps and the PS5 not. Its weird. @@sillkthashocker

Literally all they would have to do with these games that have issues being 30 fps in graphics mode, (which is still not okay in 2024)but that’s beside the point, if they just made a 45 fps middle ground that still gave the crisp pleasure of graphics mode with a little performance satisfaction as well, would fix so many games problems. People don’t realize or forget how much of a difference 30 to 45 fps is.

Or support the VRR and 125hz mode like Spiderman 2, so we are able to play in quality mode at least at 40fps. Or, just drop it on PC and be over with it if they plan to release messes like this..

yes i played it on my SONY 4k tv (X90K), performance mode is blurry, low res but smooth gameplay while graphics mode is crisp but the 30fps really felt laggy

@@gustinexI play on lg c1 at graphic 30 fps in the first few second you think it’s lagging but after that u can see you can play very smoothie

Have you played the game? The difference is night and day. Graphics looks really good and performance looks extremely washed and like a ps3/4 game. Performance runs really smooth though. But I play in Graphics. In FF7 Rebirth it's more important than FPS.

The ps5 is basically a ps4 pro. So glad i skipped this gen. Waiting for the PC version of this. Native 4k 60+fps, miss me with this non-sense.

yea agreed , i put the video in 4k to see if the performance mode truly looked as bad as everyone says and i can hardly notice a difference unless i focused on certain assets and even then it looks great . i doubt id even notice a difference at all when actually playing it . definitely looking forward to the pc release

TERRIBLE coding on this game LOL. 30fps in 2024...unreal. 60fps mode looks horrible especially if you are on a large 4k tv/monitor. For example, just compare this game to God of War Ragnarök to see how bad Square Enix coding is. This game has worse graphics and yet performs worse in every respect. Crap engine I think. Would really like to play it but not at 30fps and the demo 60 fps was horrible looking so hard pass for me for now. It looks SO MUCH worse than it does in this video.
