Here is an updated version of the infinite gil trick I shared in a previous Final Fantasy 8 Remastered video. In that episode we could use the trick to make 25,000 gil profit in about forty seconds. Now, using the updated tools at our disposal we can crack in about fifteen times that amount in the same amount of time! Time to get rich baby :D

Doing just cottages and optimizing your items for this can get you down to around 20-30 seconds for 100 Mega-Potions.

For those wondering why this amount of money would ever be needed, If you plan on maxing stats via refinement you will need millions of gil to max out your stats. Even with the haggle ability (with the exception of HP Up) refining each stat ups (Str, Spr, Mag) will cost 1.5 million gil each. Spd Ups are unfortunate only feasibly refined via the Irvine card so require the CC Club or Card Queen in disc 4, and Luck Ups can be farmed from Odin or via Curse Spike farming. You can of course devour enemies for stat ups but that is typically more time consuming.

Actually Speed up can be farm with auto- reflect + escaped trick on UFO as many time as you want . 1 minuter for 1 aegis amulet. (2 aegis amulet =1 spd up) Which mean 6 mintues = 3 speed up. way faster than a card battle for a Irvine card!

Yes. You need that money to buy items to refine into str ups, magic ups, etc. Kill Ultimecia at lvl 7.

I got about 50M gil in an hour and immediately spent it on giants rings to refine into hp-ups. I eventually memorized the button inputs and memory sounds and now I’m faster at it if I don’t look at the screen.

Why not wait until disk 4 and card mod bahamut, sell the 100 mega-elixers for 750,000 and then play the left twin in the hanger of the ragnorok. I've been doing it for a while and she uses the bahamut card pretty much everytime. I occasionally have to play her 2 or 3 tines but a game takes about 15 seconds

If you are farming outside Esther and lazy to use the force spawning of Malboro, you would have plenty of Mesmerized Blades, you can also refine them into Mega Potion using Recover Med-RF ability. 2 Mesmerize Blades will refine into a Mega Potion, each battle against 3 Mesmerize you'll get between 2 - 8 Mesmerize Blades (8 is pretty common from experience). So, if you need some starting Gils, you'll be able to refine them and sell those Mega-Potions first. 😉

By the time you reach Esthar you should be swimming in money even without any tricks so this advice is useless. I don't understand the comments obsession with mesmerize blades. It is so much slower than refining Mega Potions and selling them via menu only.

If you card mod laguna and bahamut, then win them back, sell all the mega elixirs and heros 2x over thats 3 mil, 4 card games, 2.26 mins I got it in with even some error first timer trial. Left diamond USUALLY plays the rare cards you lose. In a perfect (impossible) run you can bank 75 mil an hour. Toss the error ratio in there and you're seeing at least 55-65 mil an hour, straight grinding those 2 cards and 2 sales of 100 mega elixirs and 2 sales of 100 heros at a time.

I gotta say the SeeD rank thing does kinda suck but i understand its coz squall and co are mercenaries but i prefer earning gil through battles like in the rest of the FF series

Meh, this way is suposed to (like the whole gam really) avoid forcing you to grind. Getting a passive income based on your performance as a soldier it's pretty neat, you won't get anywhere close to guild cap even if you start since the begining with rank A tho (max rank).

You can make more then 29M I made 53M in 1 hour, just make sure you sort all your items and remove the first 2 for the tents and cottage so you can use them fast instead of looking for them and waste time

How the hell were we supposed to figure out all these obscure things in every FF game growing up without the internet? Especially without Fuzzfinger haha & being too broke to buy the guides. Oh and especially when the official guide book is wrong at times. I'm looking at YOU Brady Games and your false frog locations in Snake Eater (heavy sigh) I'll never get that cloaking device.

Not even close. While this method is far better in terms of getting large amounts of gil than the SeeD test method, maxing out said SeeD test rank is all you'll ever really need in terms of a normal playthrough. I would honestly only do this if you're going for a perfect save file, or need extra cash to buy items for conversion since there's no real other benefit to it. But hey, if you wanna do it just as a means of being absolutely sure you're never going to need money ever again...knock yourself out. I think the max you can get is 99,999,999 gil. So based on this method...roughly 3 or so hours of grinding to max out your gil counter. Assuming i'm right about the max amount.

You can waste max guil cap and still need money, depends on what you do, but yeah if you want to use that much money you can do plenty of useful stuff to "burn" it.

This trick is for people who respect the game and want to get stuff with the tools the game provide. Of course you can just cheat and beat everything with one hit, get max guil with one button and all the powerful magic but that's just shit. People who do that are people uncapable to play the game properly and they wouldn't beat it without cheats yet they are desperate to say how "they beat the game". Pathetic.
