@@hartantoanggoro Am pretty sure you could hit above 9999 if you use certain magical buff item, one of which was the giant...something,its been a while i dont remember.
@@hextorm2 Yup, If you have your Red mage or White mage cast haste and temper in that order in each turn and repeat, it will stack. You can just cast temper though the only reason i cast haste is to get the extra hits in. (I'm not sure if it works in the other versions but it does in the PSP version.)
Well...the final boss technically wasn't Chaos, and it wouldn't have exactly fit the situation. So I'm not particularly disappointed, especially which how much they involved the other games. FF6, 10, 13, even 15 to name a few
Originally, Chaos was only fought once, bringing an end to the infinite loop. It has been a while since I played DoS, but I think the birth of Chaos was impossible to undo until someone helped the Four time travel. That or Chaos always killed the Four throughout each cycle of infinity, but like I said, several years, lol. In any case, installments like DFF and the LaLiLuLeLo have taken liberties with the original script, but not to a degree where it’s all that noticeable unless one is a clinically-obsessed nitpicking type of fan. X3
Mine is similar, except Kefka is my most favorite in 1st, and in 3rd is probably One Winged Angel (Since 1, 6 and 7 are the only ones I've finished so far)
Are we talking about FF music? Then... 1) One Winged Angel 2) The Extreme 3) Battle for Freedom FF12 (I don't like the game, but the final boss theme is one of my favorites) Especial mention to this one (FF1).
@@wardensurana8336 You have good taste of music, in my case: 1: The Extreme 2: Battle for Freedom 3:One Winged Angel 4: Final boss theme FF XV 5: This Final boss (FF1) 6:Last Battle (FF5) 7:The Final Battle (FF4) 8: Divine Love Bunivelze theme (Lightning returns) 9: FF III vs Cloud of Darkness It´s a hard decision when include some boss themes are superior (Boss theme FF III, Desicive Battle FF VI, FF XV ifrit phase 3 theme, FF XII Boss Battle theme, etc.)
I had a playthrough where I focused a Monk as my only melee class. I think I just sat in the Chaos battle spamming Haste/Temper until I felt like the damage was probably maxed out. Love how broken that damage output is lol
@@Lojemiru Yeah, unarmed monks are probably the 2nd most damaging class after Barbarian sword wielding knights. I played through many times with monks too they are fun
@@lustrouslamb3999 even with barbarian sword, masters are still the most powerful damage dealer, they can go up to 20,000 plus damage while the knight itself needs to equip rune axe in order to break 10,000 damage
Exact. This is my favorite final boss song from all games. It causes a sense of danger, and at the same time encourages me to defeat this monster once and for all. but sometimes I am in doubt about my favorite, this one or that of the emperor of final fantasy 2.
This music is fitting for Chaos because it gives off a very hectic, chaotic if you will, feeling. But it also feels dignified, almost regal, which befits Chaos' nature as a final boss and the original final boss of Final Fantasy.
"You will die here and i will live forever. In this endless cycle, a prison of my own making... BREAK IT! Shine your light upon eternity and cleanse the stains of Chaos. OR BE SNUFFED OUT!!"
I like how the new boss and final boss themes take some melodies from the basic battle theme as a reminder that on the NES, that was the only battle theme in the game.
@@Lheticus I agree even though I love the original so much. Have you played the NES version of ff3? They had a whole jobs system, different battle songs, mp, multicasting, etc. But it all graphically looked the same as ff1 in NES it was a great game.
Yeah Chaos can get bodied quite easily indeed xD Although when I played Dawn of Souls, my team wasn't op but was neither underleveled. The fight was just tough ! And that was cool ! :D
Yeah. I always dispatched him easily in the NES version. Not so here. My party was worn down by the time I reached him. I barely won l, as in literally out of MP for spells that mattered.
still remember my runs having this fight down to a simple science: Knight: Swing Away Ninja: Haste T1 on Knight, otherwise Temper Knight White Wizard: Holy, Healaga as needed. No sense in applying buffs unless under level. Black Wizard: Temper T1 on Knight, otherwise Flare
I 'member actually defeating the 4 extra bosses before taking out Chaos on the advance SP version. Consequently, all my stats where maxed out, and the Chaos battle only took 5 minutes.
A good handful of random encounters were harder to deal with than Chaos. Very easy boss but understandable when you have to consider that if you die fighting him you have to do the entire Chaos Temple over again (unless you Memo Save).
***** I've beaten that game in many possible combinations including solo runs. Warmech is soft compared to killing high defence enemies that only take one damage per hit. It only became easier once you got combat items like the giant gloves, healing staff, thors hammer etc. Before that, it was pretty much beat on stuff endlessly with a hammer until it stops moving. I still have nightmares about the marsh cave. Those green slimes took for ever to kill
@@Superintendent_ChaImers I felt the same way as I made my way down the Purifico place in FF X-2 : no end in sight, shit just gets harder, and you can't can't land a hit on the tonberry without risking one hit KO
Love this fight, Level 70 Knight,Ninja,Red Wizard and Master....destroied me. 2 Hours later, Everyone Level 99, still a Though Fight but i could beat him, and it was one of the most epic fights i had in the saga, since i couldnt have Level 8 and 9 Magic i boost everyone and Start atacking with them and Healing with the Red Wizard, I still remember how the ninja Finish him with a Final slash.
Lvl 99 knight with Excalibur, lvl 99 ninja with murasame, lvl 99 white wizard only healing and support, lvl 99 black wizard spamming hastega and flare.. Took down first try. I miss the days where 999 was max health xD
I remember fighting him, it took me 30 minutes to kill him because he was wiping out my warrior, ninja, and Red Mage. My white mage survived because I kept on using null-death on her. She was the reason I won the fight. Constant revival, Diaga, and Curaga spells. I also found a sword she could wield, YES she can wield one specific sword.
you know I realized that If I was able to take down shinryu than I would have no trouble taking this guy down. wish their was a super ultra harder version of him because his theme is pretty epic to hear it too shortly......Master is OP.
Glampkoo pretty much every final fantasy game is super hard except for 7 because you level up really quickly and its easy to dominate the materia specially if you do sidequests
When i first fighted him i didn't use temper and my most powerfull attack was the black mage hielo+++ causing him very low damage and of course i didn't beat him and can't go back cause the 4 demons of chaos and i didn't have teleportar so i was traped Some years later i tried to pass the game one more time but smarter and i win the fight
I beat him at 69 and went back to save file and beat him at 75,88, 99 last because I love maxing out after I beat a final boss at the lowest level I could possibly be at by the time I get to them.
Darchus08 actually, the one with the Final boss+ the boss theme was the Wonderswan Color version (which have the same graphics as the GBA). the sound is inferior, but it's like 8-bit madness :P
I have the NES version, I use an emulator, and I honestly can't even defeat Garland the first time. I've never got further than getting to him. Though I did enjoy Final Fantasy X.
At least you are not having trouble with him in the gba version. If you were I would just laugh to myself. I beat him (GBA) at level 2, first fire, the rest attack, then thunder, the rest attack. Then all attack, then my white mage healed my fighter, then the rest attacked. Then they all attacked again for the win. THAT was the battle. Also, the only way to prevent chaos from happening is to die to garland You are forced to fight it otherwise. You can also stare it6 down with fear, the final boss is not immune to it. Congrats! YOU SAVED THE WORLD BY LOSING!
I fought this guy for the first time ever last night. It was a long battle, and I thought it was all over when he used Curaja. But after some DBZ goofy ahh power up turns, I managed to beat him on that first attempt. It was a magical moment. My team was Chase the Red Wizard, Jack (named after Jackie Chan) the Ninja, Rose the White Wizard, and Vivi the Black Wizard.
I beat him first try. I had a Warrior with Excalibur, Black & White Mage and a Monk with BARE HANDS (my strongest char, like Chuck Norris). Really funny, my warrior hit Chaos with 2k Dmg, and my Chuck Norris with 5k-6k. ._.
i just beat the last boss off FF1 pixal remastered on my switch yesterday and he wrecked me 3 times but i relaised i missed some magic for my red mage and got haste and it done more damage with my monk but wow this final boss music is amazing. am currently doing 1 up to 6 at the moment for the first time and its been so fun so far.
Cuando terminas el juego pero olvidaste vencer a Omega y Shinryu Tu: Ganar es ganar El juego: parece que has olvidado algo detrás voy a guardar tu progreso
Thankfully I save before any boss in any game, because I had to work my way back out of the Chaos Temple for two reasons: To gain some more levels (I was level 57 on my first attempt, and he wiped the floor with me), and to buy all of the Nul spells. I got him on my third attempt, though, hahahaha >:) That's only because I had my Ninja use nothing but Temper on my Knight, lol. My Knight was doing about 1900 damage by the end.
***** You're right. I am a furry. I also live at my parents' house because I'm 18 and just graduated high school and have no money to go to college. That's why when I'm home I work on a comic to get published. I fail to see how I'm a "low-life."
Against Chaos with lv 55 White mage, Black mage, Knight and Ninja. It was pretty challenging and hard, since even his simple physical attack could 2-hit kill all of my characters ._.
@@tibik.8407 I can't understand, I finished Final Fantasy 1 several times and none of them I had any problems with, in fact, I never stopped to grind, and I always reached the chaos with the same level.
i beat him my first try i used the rod you get for beating atamos which does lin 2500 damage each time it was so i didnt have to use mp to do the flare move
Holy and Flare are available as white and black magic level 8 spells respectively. Holy was FADE on NES, and Flare was NUKE. Ultima wasn’t a thing until FF2.
In dawn of the souls, there is new weapon called ultima weapon, used to be strongest one in that version but when 20th anniversary, it was eventually surpassed by barbarian sword
