I've always wondered where he is while his jump is active. Is he literally jumping the entire time? How high in the air does he go? Or does he jump to a ledge somewhere? Not sure there are many ledges in this part of the game for him to hit, though...
@@livingtoaster1358 False, the music isnt the only thing thats good, I consider FF2 to be great, I don't care what anybody says about the levelling system, or the encounter rate, the game has so much and people just dismiss it for being *Bad*
"Super Castlevania 4" does something similar to that during the final battle, when it starts playing Simon's positive and uplifting theme when the boss is low on health; that moment has the exactly same kind of "you can do it!" vibe to it.
Ehh I loved this fricken game. back when there weren't any hints online- there wasn't any online- It was just you banging your head on a wall figuring the game out... not knowing what was coming... this part and the part where Rydia rejoined your party were awesome!!
agreed same with ff6. thats what made the surprises of being beaten in battle that much more fun. no one wouldve ever saw the magimaster situation when they first fought him without knowing the tricks to get by him.
This game is actually one of the final fantasy games I found that I didn't need a guide cuz it was quite linear and explicitly told you where to go which I personally liked
So was the word holy. The spell holy was replaced with “white” and all Judeo-Christian references were scrapped or changed. For example, one location was renamed the tower of wishes because it was called the tower of prayers.
I was like, "Oh why did you put Rydia in front, you animal??", then I realized, "Wait, he only throws spells, doesn't he? And you're only going to be chucking super ninja stars with Edge. Ohhhhh."
Love how Zemus turned into an evil looking Sesame Street monster after he was defeated the first time. And I always thought the big blue orbs on his final form were his eyes. To this day I have no clue what he is supposed to be. Something only those who live on the moon know I guess.
Anyone that's gonna comment this is FF4 not 2 Read this Back in the 90s (I wasn't alive back then but I have the snes game) some of the final fantasy games were not released in the western area So they only had the first ff ,The fourth ff which became 2 then ff 6 which became 3
@Nate Diaz Couldn't Beat a Rattata OK, so now the original NES FF2 and FF3 are now playable, how you gonna keep all the names lined up with your collection? errr... FF2 (NES) and then a different FF2 (SNES, which is FF4 in reality)? Also FF3 (NES)and yet another different FF3 (SNES, which is FF6 in reality)? Don't forget there is also FF5 between FF4 and FF6, where will that one sit in your collection?
One thing classic Final Fantasy never, ever failed at was giving you spectacular, worthy, climactic end bosses. As awesome as four-stage Kefka is, I still think Zeromus is the best they ever got.
me too actually. On FFVII, i also tended to get the ending of the Supernova animation in the second part of the bridge of the song. It always felt right.
Also if you are going to use Cure when your HP of your party is only a few hundred below your max you should use Cure 2 or Cure 3. Saves MP. Only use Cure 4 after big bang.
major blast from the past! this was my first final Fantasy. and I remember this battle being so impossible! fucking Asura! if she didn't do what I needed, it was game over haha
I always made my screen black too LOL.. great old game. Good fight. Thanks for showing your stats beforehand. Always hated moving things around to get highest Attack x# but it did help alot. FuSoYa should've used the Crystal 1st and he knows it. Turning into a flat mop is what he gets LOL
A tad overleveled, but Holy ****, I've never seen the second Big Bang deal that much. I like your instinct for when to deal the finishing blow instead of healing.
The original snes copy will forever have its home in my heart, the part when everyone on earth is reviving and healing the party to fight zeromus always makes me shed a tear.
I think this is the first game I've ever played that shows characters chanting to cast magic. I loved it with Rosa--and then the casting animation looks like she's asking for healing. Actually I loved everything with Rosa, period.
I could be wrong, but I suspect Big Bang deals more damage the more Zeromus uses it, or perhaps the less HP he has. To me the second is the killer, the third is brutal.
Loved this game, but one major flaw in it. When you have Rydia the very first time (before you lose her and then she comes back transformed older later), if you level her lots of times, you can actually acquire Nuke spell. But if you do that, when you get her the second time, and shes more mature, she has forgotten the Nuke spell you earned for her previously by leveling. OK, maybe not a major flaw in the game, but was sad to me!
thats because if cecil and co isnt at said level like when u got her to learn nuke before she returns later she will get the average level of your allies.
Sorry I’m so late. It’s not just a randomizer thing, but relative agility is calculated at the start of the battle, and can’t be changed after that, so things like Fast or switching to or from a weapon with an agility stat change doesn’t affect you once the battle starts.
The trick is to not use any magic against him, else he counter-attacks to most of it. With just regular attacks, throwing weapons and jumping, all he does is Big Bang, Black Hole and eventually the rarely-working Meteo.
I beat the gameboy version and it was amazing. Working my way through the mobile 3D version right now. But I think that the music sound better in this version.
