This was one of the most ambitious medleys I've ever taken on. This rendering is incredibly old now, and I think it badly needs a redux, but at the time, it was painstaking work. The original compositions from Final Fantasy Tactics are by Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masaharu Iwata. One of the reasons it was challenging, aside from the sheer number of parts, was the fact that Sakimoto's work in particular (but also Iwata's work) is extraordinarily technical, utilizing frequent (and often unusual) time signature and tempo changes. I felt like I gained a level after doing this! FFT dished me out a good chunk of EXP and JP! Here is a list of all the tracks featured in this song:

RebeccaETripp Unavoidable Battle, Under the Stars, Bloody Excrement (why did they name it that), Cry of Pain!, In Pursuit. They may not mesh well together but they are ones I like that you haven't used yet. Also, you should seriously consider going the full 9 yards with your music. And by that I mean using it as a means to make yourself a living. You have talent (as can be seen from the music you've made), dedication (which can be seen by the countless videos you've made and the time it must have taken to make them), and passion (which can be seen in those psychology of final fantasy videos). I think only the people who have all 3 of those are able to make it big and make a name for themselves in the arts and entertainment industry, and you definitely have them all. I suspect that making it "big" is not necessarily what you would strive for, but it is absolutely possible and very much within your reach.

Thank you, Ramza! I have every intention of taking my music career as far as I can. So far I've had 19 soundtrack offers, and a small handful of them have paid me. I'm also selling MP3s. :) But, I'm going to keep at it until I can land a really great soundtrack job for a game that loads of people will play. :D (somewhat masculine anime confidence pose) Those are all good songs. I was thinking of doing some of the non battle ones next for Tactics, or maybe some kind of general Ivalice medley. I haven't decided yet. I know I love Delita's Theme and will eventually get round to filming myself playing that one on piano. :)

My word...I think my head would explode trying to arrange for 100 separate instruments playing let alone the time signature and tempo changes like you mentioned. Gotta hand it to ya. :) I think I'll stick to my lowly metal music lol.

When it comes to orchestral I think my biggest problem would be lack of imagination. I'm in total awe of your ability to create so many pieces of music. :)

Live instruments, not so much. ;_; I don't know how musicians of old recorded but if you record on a timeline it can be brutal! Oh, have you considered putting your VG remixes on ocremix.org? It'd be a nice way for you to get more views.

I'm usually picky and the style isn't as punchy as the original (which is only a given since it's fanmade) BUT for a medley I can clearly tell alot of work went into it. I DO think the transition from trisection to battle on the bridge sounded off. I dunno if I can fault you for it because Battle on the bridge is probably the most iconic scene in the game, especially since it's related to FF's recurring character Gilgamesh.

I wasn't a big fan of your choice of tones.Not sure if its your fault or the program you're working with but a lot of the high pitch leads come out flat and blaring, which makes it easy on the ear to pick out subtle lack of flow between notes in the melody. Good effort though. Hope you get better tech.
