Tactics has unquestionably the most underrated and underappreciated score of the Final Fantasy trademark. It's so intense and emotional and so few even bother to listen to it at all.

So ecstatic to find this!!! Not enough tracks from these two masterpiece soundtracks get attention!

I am so happy to read all these positive comments about the medley! I wrote it in a very short time, so I couldn't get everything in it that I would've liked to. I would happily arrange the music from Vagrant Story some time, for instance, along with many other games that have fantastic and inspiring soundtracks. Anyway, thank you very much for the love, everyone! And thank you, Pixyl, for sharing! If I didn't live on the other side of the Atlantic I would've been there, myself.

Fun facts, the brand of the drum Canopus, was actually the name of one of character of Tactics Ogre. A similar game claimed by many as spiritual predecessor of FF Tactics, given both were directed by Yasumi Matsuno-sensei.

Utterly brilliant. So many emotions were evoked by watching this video.

What I would give for Square Enix to drop the main series for a decade or so and focus on Ivalice. Also it's a shame Tactics Advance isn't on this medley. Sakimoto did A LOT of great pieces for that game.

They should do an entire album dedicated to Sakimoto's songs. Medley's are fun but I want to hear the songs in their entirety.

not even kidding out of every game i played in my 27 years i live so basically 21 years of gaming , final fantasy tactics had the fucking best soundtrack and i played a shitton. this soundtrack is beyond the most beautiful thing on earth ever created. i cried manly tears when i played through final fantasy tactics twice, really good game too, i wish they would release a final fantasy tactics 2, i would frikking buy a collectors edition even if the soundtrack was as good as the first one.

Hoping for another final fantasy tactics sequel :'(

I don't think they performed the tactics OST well. It had odd tempo changes, and sounded busy in the wrong places. But the essential atmosphere was there and it was still cool to hear an orchestra play it.

Too bad Distant Worlds never includes FFT's pieces. The best they can do is Dalmasca Estersand of FF12, still better than nothing from Basiscape.

Man I used to restart random battles over and over until I got Apoplexy. Then I'd pause the game for hours to listen to it!

the last piece is epic is that from ff12? it's been a while but I remember the music style in 12 was just stellar
