Final Fantasy Tactics Remake: Confirmed, But Mysterious

Finally! Now all of my friends can play it and understand why I love this game! It would be sweet if they added full voice acting and an option to turn on level syncs for the story battles. I alway got carried away leveling up my Job which made the story battles too easy lol. Would also like to see them buff the weaker classes to give them more use. Especially Rapha and Marach's mantra because it was so weak and made no sense with the story. Or maybe it was intentional to outline how tragic that arc is.

them doing it justice and it coming out would make me extremely happy. would obviously check it out in japanese to see what va's they hired but would also check out the english. it's a game I been wanting since childhood.

To me a "remaster" would be like Tactics Ogre Reborn - essentially the same game but with a pass taken on updating art/textures/graphics/music and some mechanical changes to update systems into a more modern approach when appropriate. Vs. a "remake" which would be a completely different game, and that's what we probably do NOT want. This having the same "remaster" language as Tactics Ogre: Reborn is a step in the right direction, IMO. TO:Reborn remains one of my favorite remasters and has become my top SRPG, over taking FF:Tactics, but now I am hoping for FF:Tactics "reborn" to over take TO:R as my favorite in the (hopefully not too distant) future.

I feel like FFT was never at risk of being canned, it's probably one of the most requested old school square games for a modern port of some kind. quite frankly if anything going by SE's more aggressive push for multiplatform releases I'd wager remasters like FFT are good things to test the waters with to see what kind of sales spread they get, but a better indicator will probably be the upcoming Kingdom Hearts collection. If you ask me SE's exclusivity strategy backfired on them, but also some releases in the past years were meh, like Various Daylife, Diofield Chronicles and Valkyrie Elysium, but then you had things like Crisis Core Reunion, TO:R and Star Ocean Second Story R do solidly, if not great if we go by steam reception with Crisis Core sitting at 90% overall, and Star Ocean Second Story at 95%. Iunno seems like SE has better luck with some of these smaller scale projects than they do their major releases, and on that note, I'd totally be down for a Dissidia Duodecim remaster, cause i'm sure SE could make a quick buck off of that, only thing the game really needs is online and good netcode.

Please add local co-op and online battles.

If this is true i REALLY REALLY wish they'll add favorite jobs like red mage blue mage paladin etc. I play fft religiously and i see a dozen skills monsters use thatd be perfect for a blue mage to use. Make it learn skills just like black mages summoners and ramza do like PULLLEEEAASSEE

Im hoping for a remaster as opposed to a remake. I can see the remake more in the wotv style and I love my chunky sprites.

As far as I know, Midori has been pretty accurate in all their leaks.

If they remake tactics. I hope it has the same game play same battle same story maybe more side quests, multiplayer arena/coop. Just better graphics.

if it's real i hope the translation is the OG one and not the war of the lions one. I thought the dialogue was too flowery
