This spesific element and category becons me hard. I have my own version written in FFdecks(King's control) where I have tested many variations agains my fiancee's Sophie deck. Not gonna post link because not sure if that is something I am allowed to do since this is your channel. A big thing in freezing backups is that opponent can still discard cards to gain resources. There are 2 cards I would recommend to your version which are essential according to several test games I have run. First is Snow(With maybe starter Emet, which let you search out for him and squall if you need). Snow helps you to push your aggro while laguna keeps backups nice and frozen. Another one is opus 2 Moomba which helps with small damage dealers like Terra, Laswell and Leon. I am very happy that you play with Kadaj. I was having trouble agains Sophie's constant recursion so I added him afterward to keep cards out of the block-range and out of the break zone where they can be resurrected with too many cards. Looking pretty solid overall and I will play Charlotte myself if I am able to find space...which I have not currently. Also Philia is stupid but neccessary evil would you not agree? Anyway thx for the inspiring list! I will keep this video in mind if I lose my way with my version! Huge thanks and respect for you, good sir, you are doing valuable job for the community!
You have my gratitude for the lengthy comment. I don't think 8 is ready to beat up on something as silly as Sophie but always happy to see you try. Emet into Snow is a great combo but I don't personally run it because I have awful luck with it. I never draw Emet until after I have all my backups down. Charlotte is one of my favorite cards from the set so she's the bee's knee's for me :) And yeah Kadaj is a no brainer :P
Person on octgn using this style deck wrecked me with terra and the ice moomba summon. Moomba deals damage equal to the forwards power minus 2k then terra triggers and kills it. Did it twice in a game and it was brutal lol
I love that card a lot. I think it would pack a lot of punch here. I honestly just wanted to try the new Rinoa out but I think the 2 cp one would be just as brutal if not more so in different ways :D
Ima say on FF8 instruction manual touted Laguna and Squall as sort of dual protagonist. Of course the focus was on Squall, yet Laguna was right next to him in the booklet, and hinted a connection of sorts: ooo what is this?
@@GcorpCoPrez It is implied that Laguna is Squall's dad. Rinoa is the daughter of Julia which Laguna almost got with till he went away due to his military career. I always saw Squall and Rinoa as the relationship that Laguna and Julia never got to have.
