I think he feels proud that the franchise, his baby, is still going strong to this day. It still remains Square's flagship. It's mostly just for some of us consumers, who are fed up with being just seen as a wallet, which yes, we are, but we still want a little bit of respect for the things we love, especially stories that sometimes help us escape and for a moment forget about our worries.

i just started playing with the Echo-s mod and while i certainly wont say the voice acting is mind blowing, some of it isnt half bad (so far) and it really does make it feel more like the remake i actually wanted.

Yeaaaah if you don’t own a PC you’re kinda SOL. BUT with PC gaming becoming more prominent, I figured it worth mentioning.

@@thatguy-dh1qh I have the latest iPhone, so no issue there. It just skimps on the game by skipping past parts of it in bite-size pieces and way complicated rewards/enhance gear crap I don’t care for. Total gotcha game cluster f**k

I have no idea what those games are, I don’t play mobile games. But then again, I don’t think those games were anywhere near on the scale of what ever crisis is trying to do, nor did they generate the interest this game has.

It focuses on ff7 universe instead of a multivariate and the graphics are more akin to newer titles

And it's more coop focused than pvp

@@thatguybis1997 but its a gatcha game so you have to see it from this point and as gatcha game enjoyer i can say it does this job better then the most games. this pared with a ff7 backround makes me hang on this game since release with no in game pay till now

They can always rig the probability rate of better equipment in order to ensure as much money is thrown at it as possible..

Just look at the trailers. Definitely didn’t look like the story was gonna be instance based missions from what I saw.

I'm just curious WHO their target audience is at this point. You'd think it would be the fans who were dying for a remake right? Cause who else would care about a mobile game that's supposedly modeled off the original Final Fantasy VII?

@@thatguybis1997 It doesn't need to be a fresh IP to target an audience who hasn't played the game. I personally have never played ff7, but i know well enough it's popularity. Up until my friend streamed it for me, their was a curiosity factor. Using a big name franchise and title is a plus even if the end-user isn't intended to be fans. Fans also might make that jump to mobile, and if they have a large wallet they might dump into the game. That, however, isn't a gamble.. it's a bonus and nothing more if it happens. by using ff7, along with CC and that other game, they can build a very large game where the user will be slowly drenched in sunk-cost fallacy.. buying weapons for progression only to hit another barrier. They do this, without having to invest a ton into creating a new idea. The world is their.. midgard is designed already, and they already know what to do with Aerith.. they just have to code it. Reusing assets from ff7 remake.. well.. cost saving as well. They can make a AAA budget game on an A budget, if you will. Concept investment goes into the battle system.. make it more for the mindless mobile gamer.. don't want to make the user think too much. Also don't want to give the user too much control.. gamers are known for finding ways to break a system that gives a lot of control.
